If we are so safe and can only get it from direct contact, why even test someone who hasn't come in contact with someone showing symptoms. Quoting: Anonymous 12308929 They just can't keep their damn lies strait. Why not just tell the truth so ppl can protect themselves. I saw a video posted earlier interviewing random ppl about what ebola is and where it's from and how u get it. None of them had a clue. This country is full of morons. Some of the answers were ridiculous and shows just how unprepared the average person is for this outbreak. Also, for everyone counting on being told the truth after elections, I wouldn't hold my breath. It has nothing do with elections and everything to do with panic, stock crashes, riots, ect. We won't be told anything until its so bad there's no way to hide it anymore. Seriously! Guam has no chance of getting direct flights from West Africa. But, Obola is all over the radio and we have folks from CDC here training. Huge topic. Why?? Obviously, the situation is far worst than being reported. |

The reason the "low risk" people are tested is because the term "low risk" as they use it is an intentional MIND FUCK*. That is their term "low risk" is actually their code for high risk! And since they are at high risk the testing makes sense. *("doublespeak" 1984 the novel came and never left.) |

She assured, "We have not confirmed that this is a case of Ebola." A blood sample from the patient will be sent to the State Laboratory of Public Health, and preliminary test results are expected to be completed early Monday morning. If the first test comes back negative, the patient will be kept in isolation and a second test will be conducted within 72 hours, said state epidemiologist Dr. Megan Davies, who has led efforts to monitor the patient. "That's the protocol we anticipate following at this time," Davies said. "We will share the results of the test when we have it in the morning." The patient's name was not disclosed, and Wos said the patient's fever could indicate other illnesses. Wos said Duke University Hospital is prepared and equipped for the evaluation, isolation and treatment of suspected Ebola patients. She also added that the state has been preparing since July for a possible Ebola patient in North Carolina. "We have spent countless hours over this time period preparing for with our federal partners and our sister agencies and our county partners," Wos said. "Today, this intensive preparation is being put to use." |
