I exist in this world (whatever the world may be). I am something. From my perspective, this is a solid fact; the only fact I know for certain.

I do not know what came before, I just know 'now'.

I am baffled by this every day.

If this is the only existence, then why is it the way it is? Why is my existence not more basic?

I popped up in this world with other strange fleshy creatures that use strange machines and seem to have strange practices. The practices are very brutal. All the fleshy creatures here seem to be so fragile and subject to great pain. They seem to require the life of other organisms to fuel their bodies.

Why is it this way? Can it not have been any other way? Brutal and beautiful and complex.

I am the only constant and this is all i know. What the fuck?
