FEAR!!!... THE ULTIMATE POLL ON PERSONAL DOOM | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 64328023 Canada 10/26/2014 02:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Personal doom for me would be the sudden death of someone in my immediate family. I'm not sure how I would go on. The sister of a man I work with suddenly died about a week ago. She just died in her sleep. 42 years olds. Watching my Dad fight his way through Parkinson's is about the closet I've come to personal 'doom.' I guess in many ways, I'm very fortunate. |

Sometimes the self-undoing comes from the suffering of our beloved ones. To live is not easy, and we depend on our personal resources and that little bit of "luck" |

Wanna take a ride on the Bolivian road of death? :) Would love to, but I hate to travel. I like going places though, but I wish they would've invented the teleport already. Totally understand that which is why if I take a road trip on the mainland, I like to plan my route so that I never touch a major highway. As for world traveling, I was thinking more of hitching a ride on yacht or sailboat. Love flying but not airports or commercial flights. “If we are peaceful, if we are happy, we can smile and blossom like a flower, and everyone in our family, our entire society, will benefit from our peace.” Thich Nhat Hanh, Being Peace "But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you." - Job 12:7,8 "When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro." - Hunter S. I'm not sure how I would go on. Quoting: AnonymousGirl The sister of a man I work with suddenly died about a week ago. She just died in her sleep. 42 years olds. Watching my Dad fight his way through Parkinson's is about the closet I've come to personal 'doom.' I guess in many ways, I'm very fortunate. My dad died right in front of me from a heart attack. I saw him turn purple and he was fighting for breath. He was really scared before he lost consciousness, I saw it in his eyes. It haunts me. I still miss him, he was a really good man. I think dying that way may be scary and hard for a moment but it sure as shit beats dying slowly, painfully, or wasting away which is the one I chose that I fear most. |
