13 years of wars.

In 2001, Canada joined a U.S.-led coalition in the war in Afghanistan, ending its involvement earlier this year. And despite Canada's official refusal to participate in the Iraq war in 2003 without United Nations backing, a classified diplomatic memo released by WikiLeaks revealed that the country may have provided secret military support to the U.S.-led mission.

Canada also launched airstrikes in Libya in 2011. And earlier this month, Canada committed to join U.S.-led airstrikes against ISIS militants in Iraq for six months.

Ore here.

Hey Canadians - once they take your rights, they will never give them back voluntarily. Don't fall for this scam!

The only real terror threat comes from our governments. An army of ISIS jihadists is not going to land on your shores and invade your country. Nor will they launch ICBMs at you.

It's all a trick to scare you into agreeing to give more and more surveillance power to the state. This power will eventually be used against YOU. You are the "terrorists" that the government fears.

Fight this usurpation of your freedom! Live free or die!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 45585572

That's true and a lot of people realize that. But, like in the USA there are people that know what's happening but are still powerless to stop it.

It's like watching a slow-motion train wreck.

No, we will let the globalists run amok and trash our very existence. Yeah, that works so much better.

I don't get why you all are so convinced this was a false flag.

The first incident with the soldiers being run over is hardly something they would script... Oh be careful or you will get run over by a terrorist. ridiculous, that any nefarious government organization would script that out.

The shooting at the war memorial is also something that would be a terrible script.

think about this.... The guy had ample opportunity to take out civilians, but he chose an even easier target. A soldier standing guard symbolically in front of a memorial with a weapon that is not even loaded... because its not allowed by law.

His goal was a result of frustration that he could not get a passport fast enough for his liking to leave the country. In Ottawa no less........ turned away. This was revenge for that under the guise or in collusion with the ISIS mandate.

The laws created after 9/11 for detaining potential terrorists had not even been used since being put in place.

The guy was going after the Gov, not civilians... If you are going to script something to take away freedoms, don't you think you would target civilians to make your case or gain public sway to implement new invasive privacy laws?

this would be the stupidest script ever written

Perhaps this is one of the many reasons for this false flag psy-op.

Republic to be Proclaimed in Canada, January 1-4, 2015

I work in the oil patch in Alberta and listening to these dumb hillbilly rednecks I work with talk about this event and what we should do about it is truly disgusting. They fall for this simple psy-op hook, line and sinker.

Yet when I mention the history of false flags, the MO's of governments to control it's people, I'm made fun of. So be it, I'm just a dumb steamfitter, what do I know.

It's OK for the West to bomb and destroy, but if one lone gunman kills a soldier this nation freaks out. Now that's if the MSM accounts are true, which I highly doubt.

I wonder why those middle Eastern nation dislike us? (and it's not our freedoms)

Do you think it has anything to do with we continually bomb their weddings and funerals all in the name of freedom and democracy.

A couple of quotes "WE THE PEOPLE" should never forget!

"[The People] are the ultimate, guardians of their own liberty." Thomas Jefferson

"The liberty of speaking and writing guards our other liberties." Thomas Jefferson

I work underground and the chatter that goes on there by the know-nothing's would blow your mind. They have no clue.

Tories' intel agenda cause for concern
The government had planned on discussing revisions of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service act at the Conservative caucus on Wednesday. That discussion was postponed when a lunatic with a 30-30 had to be gunned down in the Hall of Honour.

Well written and thought out article....good read.....

"Ignoring the Roots of the Problem

There is an old saying that societies gets all the criminals it deserves. What is meant by this is that many criminals arise out of a structural problem in society.

It is no coincidence that Michael Zehaf-Bibeau once asked to be detained to fight his cocaine and crack addiction. Both attackers were drug users and had psychological problems that needed helped. In the case of the gunman in Ottawa, he tried reaching out for help and felt a toxic feeling of hopeless and not belonging.

Instead of looking overseas or blaming outside forces, Canada needs to look inside. The roots of the problem include the declining social services of Canada that have progressively faced government cutbacks and austerity measures. By blaming the ISIL and the internet the government is also refusing to acknowledge this failure and the marginalization of many members of Canadian society that are not getting the help they need.

The Slippery Slope and the Harper Government’s Dirty Hands

There is a call for Canadians to be vigilant against an inflated terrorist threat from the ISIL. This is why Prime Minister Steven Harper and his government are doing their best to portray the events in Canada as an extension of the front in the Middle East. Redefining criminals as terrorists is helping with this perception. Canadians and the citizens of other countries, however, should be vigilant over their rights and freedoms that took centuries of struggle to obtain.

Changing the criterion for the granting of citizenship is a whole different topic, but its removal is a dangerous and slippery slope. Although the claims are that these types of measures are for the greater good or public safety, the historic record has shown that the suspension of civil liberties has been used for ulterior motives.

As a final note, the same people inflating fears of terrorism in Canada also supported it overseas. It should never be forgotten that Prime Minister Steven Harper and his cabinet supported the «terrorists» they now claim to oppose. The Harper Government tacitly encouraged Canadians to go fight in places like Libya and Syria for the sake of assisting Washington’s foreign policy of regime change. Canada even armed the militants linked to Al-Qaeda in Libya with drones and weapons in 2011 and allowed private security firms (mercenaries) to assist them. This should not be overlooked when people question how such a state of affairs has arisen......"

Re: For My Fellow Canadians: The Reason Behind The False Flag Attacks in Montreal & Ottawa - Justification For Amending The CSIS Act
CSIS powers beefed up under new bill tabled by Steven Blaney
Bill C-44, as CBC News reported earlier, amends the Canadian Security Intelligence Service Act to:
-Give CSIS more powers of surveillance "to more effectively investigate threats to the security of Canada."
Note: Conspiracy Theorists being included in this board definition of "threats" as stated at the UN by David Camron just a few weeks ago. This is basically the ability to target, investigate & arrest a so called "conspiracy theorists" who has not caused any crime.
-Give Canada's spy agency explicit authority to operate "within or outside Canada." This would allow the agency to share information on suspected Canadian terrorists abroad with members of the so-called "Five Eyes" group of countries — namely the U.S., U.K., Australia and New Zealand.
Note: Basically a merger with NSA/DHS (among others) allowing for much broader information sharing between the five eyes. Through this DHS could relay completely made up info to CSIS about a person in Canada, and CSIS would have to take the info as credible fact without question.
-Give "greater protection" to confidential sources without having to identify them in court proceedings, even to the judge.
Note: The ability for DHS to make up evidence against someone, relay it to CSIS, and the source of the "evidence" (DHS for example) doesn't need to ever be disclosed, even to the judge (and by judge they really mean 3 person tribunal, no jury involved).

The proposed bill would also:
-Allow for some exceptions, including disclosure of informants' identities "if the human source and the [CSIS] director consent to the disclosure of that information." The bill lays out the process by which a judge could order that an exception be made.
Note: The ability to selectively name informants identities when it suites their purpose (basically for the few legit arrests they will allow more info to be known (to add credibility/trust to their cause), but for the shady as fuck stuff this type of informant info will not be disclosed).
-Make it an offence to divulge any information that would lead to the disclosure of the identity of a CSIS employee "who was, is or is likely to become engaged in covert operational activities."
Note: The Ability for CSIS to legally carry out false flags using CSIS employees, due to the fact that it would be literally illegal to say that the terror suspect was working for CSIS even if it was a fact.

[link to www.cbc.ca]

More anti-terrorism measures coming
Today's proposed legislation has not been altered following Wednesday's assault on the National War Memorial and Parliament's Centre Block, CBC News has learned.
The ultimate goal of the bill is to give authorities greater power to deal with some of the Canadians already on a watch list who are considered most dangerous, sources say.
Note: I don't even want to think about the other shit they plan to pass with the second phase of bills related to this... All I know is they likely will require another attack of some sort before the next wave of anti-terrorism bills is tabled... stay alert Canada...

An easier solution is to deport all muslims, problem solved.

put out a nation wide message asking them leave, they have one month..

Failing to leave will result in being rounded up, put in detention camps, and sent back to their home origins.

We need to cut the cancer out of our societies, these people offer us nothing but strain on our system and potential terror.

If they stay, and claim they aren't muslim, force feed them pork to make sure. I won't have my handful of liberties striped because some whackos want to run around killing people in the name of allah.

Like the Japanese who were interned in camps during WWII in the USA?

No, friend. Disturbed young adults need detention, yes, and counselling, and even now imams in Canada are getting together to find ways to discourage young radical converts - who are acting out their mental problems, not serving Allah.
 Quoting: eternity2

Japanese Canadians were also interned in Canada. There were three different camps in the area I live in BC.

But yes, crackhead goes postal. Amend the CSIS act.

CSIS obstructed spy watchdog, report says
Just as the federal government is poised to boost the powers of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, the national spy watchdog says it has had to push CSIS to hand over crucial information.
The Security Intelligence Review Committee says it faced “significant delays” in receiving requested documentation over the last year and had to press CSIS to obtain complete and consistent answers to several questions.
In its annual report to Parliament, the review committee – which has a right to see all CSIS records – says it was “seriously misled” by the spy service in one complaint investigation.
