Here we go....(Update!) "Carnival Magic" Cruise Story the "Singularity-Event?" for the Ebola Drama? Video
POLL: As far as I'm concerned the "cruise-ship story" of "Carnvial Magic" was:
...A complete lie and cover-up for whatever "hot patient" was on-board.
Probably a news story to "cover-up" why Mexico refused Port to the ship.
Was exactly what was happening...a healthy Dallas worker's risk blown out of proportion!
An embarassment for the U.S. government & Carnival Cruise corp. which led to news black-outs now on ebola.
A precedent setting legal situation that most Americans have missed!
Something that should never had made the news. Boring story.
 Crap.

Thread: 2 passengers on Galveston based Carnival cruise ship possibly infected with Ebola departed Tx. on Sun. Oct. 12. 4633 people on board!
This was the GLP thread that directed many of us
to that amazing story of a cruise ship which had
been "refused port" in Mexico (due to a "leaked story
about at least one ebola-positive person onboard!)

This one puts up the question: "Where are all the
passengers? Why no interviews when they came back
to Galveston, TX?

EDIT/Major re-write: 10-23-2014 Re-write on this thread
to clarify the narrator's point-of-view.

NOTE: I'm fairly a-political, myself...and I have to
say that the "political" references in the video
posted below do NOT necessarily reflect my own
beliefs.
ALSO...
This VIDEO point-of-view is soley the author's!
However, his main report about a "singularity-event"
with ebola caught my interest--listen to this!

QUESTION: WHAT IS A "SINGULARITY"

The term is taken from physics and generally refers
to a "point of origin" or, in the case of an outbreak
such as ebola, the point at which a "significant"
(and possibly irrecoverable) page-is-turned in the
evolution of the outbreak. Below is an excerpt from
an hour-long video
--I recommend that you watch the 1-hr. long video
(below) if you can, it has lots of info and
referenced articles/pictures that the excerpt doesn't
cover!

[link to www.youtube.com]
FairUSE
The identity of the narrator is unknown at this
point, but was posted on "Tyler Durden's Utube
channel. (*Probably wants to be A.C.!!)

You will hear this video author's idea of where HE
IDENTIFIES a "singularity" in the ebola outbreak here
in the U.S.A. may be. (You can hear the full "skinny"
on the singularity at the 30:00 min mark in the
full 1-hour video below. This is an excerpt 7 min.)

Give it some consideration, and when
you think it over--please give us an idea of a
"singularity"--a "game-changer"--YOU IDENTIFIED
for the spread or worsening of the virus in the U.S.
Let's "brain-storm" on this together!

THIS IS THE HOUR PLUS VERSION (first 1 hr. is best.)

[link to www.youtube.com]
FairUSE
This was the FULL 1hour UTUBE channel presentation on October 16th. Name of the narrator NOT known. May
wish to be A.C.
I really feel this REPORT is so thorough, that in light
of the current "ebola news black-out" it is something
that we might all benefit from reviewing.
(At least...while the bad news is kept at bay for
a few days we can take a deep breath and just
reconsider what we have seen and heard!

(Sorry if this was posted on another ebola thread--
there have been so many, I'm sure I may have missed
it if there was a previous discussion on the video!)

WHAT IS THE UTUBE NARRATOR'S "VOTE FOR THE EBOLA
SINGULARITY?"

NOTE: Check out the 30:00 min mark, where the video
narrator actually clarifies his own vote for what
would be a "singularity event."

Paraphrasing his words:
The ebola "singularity" (for the author) would be
a cluster ebola outbreak where the individuals
testing positive for the virus have NOT had either
contact with Mr. Duncan in Dallas, TX, the 2 sick
nurses, or with anyone traveling from W. Africa.
THAT is when there is an actual "patient-zero"
on U.S. soil, (in his opinion.)

Thanks to GLP's "A.C. 2906" ("They're going to
need a BIGGER boat!" reference from the movie "Jaws"
(1977) w/Roy Scheider and Richard Dryfuss
Here ya go--from Jaws (1977?)--Roy Scheider

[link to www.youtube.com]
FairUSE (Education/discussion)
(Thanks, A.C. 2906!!)

Here is an article from "Cruise Line News"
[link to www.cruiselawnews.com]
(Interesting pictures of Carnival Cruise workers
taken during the lay-over in Mexico--with buckets
of disinfectant water, rubber gloves and NO
skin covering or protective garments!)

My own "vote" for what I identify as the
first ebola "singularity" event (there can be more
than one)--would be the "Carnival Cruise Line Ship
--"Carnival Magic." I personally don't believe that
the person they were worried about passing ebola
to the 4,000 + Carnival Cruise passengers was from
Dallas, TX. We were NOT given the whole story on this,
and this group (1 or more) of unfortunate passengers
were the first non-Dallas-related and non-W.Africa
"cluster" to show up with ebola symptoms. (My
theory only!)
That would match our video author's "singularity."
cheers
O'sCookie

A "singularity-event" for the cruise-ship lines
would be the public believing ANY form of
international travel now is "dangerous!"
Bankruptcy is its own "singularity" in business!

Will Ebola become more powerful than money?
Will America put their health and lives first or stay slaves and expose themselves to the deadly bioweapons for a vanity cruise or a paycheck.
The road will come to a fork...

Re: Here we go....(Update!) "Carnival Magic" Cruise Story the "Singularity-Event?" for the Ebola Drama? Video
This might be a very good "candidate" for an opinion
about a "singularity" for this entire story about
the "Carnival Magic" ship incident.

The Belize and Mexican authorities were able to
make an immediate evaluation of the problem, make
their own precedent-establishing decision to NOT
allow the cruise ship to dock/Port--and tell the
ship to move along.

Now put that up against individuals vomiting and
dieing onboard planes which are now allowed to
"port" in American airports--and continue to be
allowed to do so even with the Dallas, Tx tragedy
...it really makes you go "Hmmmmm...."

From the article:

[link to hotair.com (secure)]
Quote:
But the remarkable part of this story is not what happened on the cruise ship, nor even what might have happened. What we might find truly amazing is the way that Mexico (!) was able to rapidly arrive at such a policy decision. In the United States we remain unable to invoke a travel ban while hundreds of visa holders fly into our airports each week. In Africa, Kenya Airways, British Airways, Air Cote D’Ivoire and Nigeria’s Arik Air all have full or partial bans on flights from the Ebola stricken nations. Mexico was able to take a look at the situation and tell the cruise ship to move along.

I always get a little suspicious when:

1. I hear ANYONE talk as though Prez Eboma is in control of anything making intelligent decisions.

Question, a friend is sick with what she says is a stomach flu or food poisoning. She attended the gators game in Gainesville FL on the 18th.
If this really is the stomach virus/food poisoning, and if, she were exposed to obola, wouldn't her compromised immune system cause the obola to present itself?
Does anybody have any thoughts on it? I'm thinking if this sickness she has blows over, then she probably doesn't have the obola. The reason I ask is that when she gets better, her classes will start back up again and she will expect me to attend, and, I'm nervous about that. I mean, I don't even like football, should I have to die because someone else does? To the point that she exposed herself to THOUSANDS of people during a known outbreak.

You have to use your own judgment. We are all in
"uncharted territory" with the flu season coming
up and the current concerns around ebola. I was
thinking that they could have suspended these
larger sports events until at least the 40 to 50
day incubation period was passed...it wouldn't
hurt. I can see why you are so concerned.

Other than this inmate and the others who have been treated in ATL, no I have not seen anything personally that would lead me to think that it is in my area. It just worries me that's she sick now, 5 days after attending the football game. Stomach Flu or food poisoning she said. I'm sure I am most probably overreacting.

You have to use your own judgment. We are all in
"uncharted territory" with the flu season coming
up and the current concerns around ebola. I was
thinking that they could have suspended these
larger sports events until at least the 40 to 50
day incubation period was passed...it wouldn't
hurt. I can see why you are so concerned.
Stay well.

This is what current officials feel is the
safe "exercise" for schools having teachers
w/symptoms! (It's a joke, by the way!)

That is an interesting coincidence in timing.
I'm getting the impression that you have some
"feelings" that there may be ebola in the city
near you. Have you noticed anything that may
suggest there might be cases there?
This is an article I was able to locate about
Florida. No cases are being reported so far,
and it looks like they are being proactive in
getting ready to respond. Sound pretty solid.

I don't know, maybe I am. The last time I saw her she behaved as if this was no threat and that I was overreacting. I did post here last night about rumors going round at the big org in atl that the lies are coming out of. They have cut off comms to all but the inner employees, they did this 2 weeks ago and even portions of the org that you would think would still be in the loop are not. I was told the following; Freidguy will probably resign, this will be much worse than Katrina, and the docs in this state are very worried, agitated and frustrated.

I agree...it's already bad. I can just imagine being
in Dallas this past month. It must have been very
upsetting.
My feeling is that if TPTB would be "transparent" in
what they know, it would cause much less panic
than if they a secretive--as they are being now with
the "cap" on information. We need everyone on the same
page trying to find solutions, not putting this thing
in a "box" and hoping it will solve itself. People
are going to just assume that the reason they aren't
being transparent is BECAUSE it may be beyond their
control (whether or not that is true.) It is just a
really bad decision.
Thanks for your post. Let us know what happens.
Be well.

Can you or someone here be a sweetie I am at work and can't read all that or watch all that please give me a little summary. What do you mean when you say singularity? You mean they are just infecting a random person here or there for the heck of it?

The term "singularity" originated in astrophysics and
mathematics--and, as has been pointed out by one
poster, is probably not used totally the way the
word originally was meant to be.
The author of the video has his own "version"
of an "ebola singularity" being something that
comes up in the course of the epidemic which appears
to be a "game-changer" (or which "turns a new
page" differing in some way to the way things had
first been evolving.)

He doesn't refer to some person or group "seeding"
a single person, like you suggest. But, rather
that since the beginning of the Dallas, TX outbreak
that everyone has been watching--if there is a
large cluster of ebola positive individuals who
have NOT been in contact with Mr. Duncan in Dallas,
nor with his family, neighbors, nurses or doctors
AND ALSO people who cannot have a "golden-thread"
between their contracting the illness and ANY
provable instances of people traveling in W. Africa
or outside the U.S.A. THAT, he feels, would be
the "singularity" for us--when the ebola virus
is actually ramping-up.
My thought was that if the person in question on
the "Carnival Magic" was incorrectly reported
(deliberately or accidentally) as having a connection
with the Dallas, TX group...then this would have
matched the video narrator's guidelines for the
"singularity" (as he was using the word!)
Hope that helps!

My boss said he swears he heard early morning yesterday on one of the news stations that some guy from the same place Duncan came from came through one of the same airports here in the states and is supposedly in newark or somewhere in the northeast. He said he watched the news again at noon and the evening and it was never repeated.

There are all kinds of "rumors" about this and that
but you need to be careful of their sources to be
credible info. Just like we do on GLP--no linky
--you stinky! Good rule of thumb. That's why I thought
that this video I've posted was so excellent--the
fellow states information that he has heard or
articles he has read, but he always flashes them
up on the screen when he is referring to them.
That way, you know the person isn't just quoting
rumor.
Thanks for the post.
