(OP) User ID: 64225393 Spain 10/18/2014 04:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Interesting...I eat fresh fruits and veggies...nuts...wheat/rye bread...very little dairy products...no salt...fish once a month...2 eggs once a week... Quoting: Settle4It I have a boring diet lol NO SALT?!! We exist in a mineral kingdom and everything...everything is a mineral being, relying on minerals...and you make effort to have no SALT?! SALT is one of the BEST ways to get micro-minerals into the body in their most natural and colloidal form. Minerals are needed for the electrical charge that all cells rely upon. Rock salt, Sea salts are LOADED with wonderful minerals. Avoid table salt that is 100% sodium and with other powders added to stop it turning into a solid mass. Truly - we NEED salt! Your ADRENAL GLANDS NEED SALT! ADRENAL GLANDS are the ONLY mechanism in the body to handle all this modern life STRESS. Without salt you can really fuck up adrenal function. Speak to someone with Adrenal insufficiency or Addison's disease and ask them about their quality of life...the number one cause of death with those conditions is suicide BTW...as life is IMPOSSIBLE without good healthy adrenal function. The media have instilled a mindset that salt is evil - when, in FACT, the opposite is true! Salt for high blood pressure? Well, cut-out cholesterol and arterial plaque-forming foods instead of salt! Jeeesh...please...be mindful of daily ingesting excellent quality salt (himalayan pink rock salt - originally from ancient cleanest oceans - or Celtic sea salt, unrefined...containing over 80 MINERALS) It's the best quality and cheapest multi-mineral food in the WORLD! HAVE SALT FOLKS! :inireland: They're drinking wáter, folks. The kidneys and the liver need plenty of it! Salt/Sodium is OK, but with common sense. A lot of people with cardiac or arterial condition must be very prudent with that. Refined sea salt, Iodised salt or pink Himalayan salt seem to be the healthiest. |

I have good food too. Quoting: Stoned Goddess But instead I'm going to the liquor store and 7/11 to get some cheap wings or pizza or some shit. Makes me feel like a teenager again. Well, all of us have those lazy days here and there. A bit of self-indulgence and teenagerism is not bad sometimes, bc sometimes everything sucks or simply we're moody and we're human beings, not robots. BTW, WINGS ARE GREAT!!!... |

I have leafy greens starting to go bezerk in this fall weather, can't eat them all, giving kale, chard, cilantro away. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 63911156 Thank you! I don't do it, but I understand that to work, care, harvest and enjoy your own efforts for those edible wonders is great! It's like a good deal between the good earth and your hands, your mind and your heart (and your stomach). Wonderful. Well done. |

Quoting: Inerrancia ...Gordon Ramsey do ya hear me??? :cooking: Well... I do not like to reveal personal information online, but, I selected chef and I tell you why. I prefer to prepare my own food more often then not. As I do not trust other people to handle (cook) my food properly and cleanly. It may seem a little paranoid, but I at least know what ingredients and things are going into my own food, etc. Example, I'm at a pizza place the other day, on a rare occasion of getting food to go. I'm waiting for my order and I see the guy making the pizzas. Hands all in the dough... I'm thinking, at some point earlier, he touched his penis when he urinated with those hands... or worse. Did he wash his hands well? Multiple times since? Even if he did, are there any trace remnants of bacteria, etc? How would I know? Then as I'm thinking this, I see him take a moment and briefly scratch the side of his nose and then continue to make the pizza. Do you know how many germs get on the human face, oils and sweats from the pores, especially in a hot oven area? The thing to keep in mind, was this is from a guy who is preparing food out in the open, can you imagine what some do behind closed doors? Not to mention the servers (waiters) and delivery people. Humans are disgusting and filthy creatures and if you let others handle and prepare your food often, you will be exposed to and consuming small amounts of their germs, bacteria, sweat, hair, etc. So... this is why I do the majority of my own cooking. At least I know where my hands have been that day, what I was doing touching, etc when cooking and what I'm putting into my food and how clean my cooking area is. Otherwise... *shudders* you are putting a huge amount of trust into others, which I simply refuse to do, knwoing what I know and seeing what I've seen. Food for thought. I think you've read my mind!!! I have the same thoughts at restaurants and grocery stores. I often leave when I see scratching, etc., telling them that "I changed my mind." I guess I'm too nice to tell them they're filthy |

Well, that's VERY HEALTHY, indeed People has an absurd fixation about the cow's milk. Almonds' is a very good alternative; or oats' drinks ("Oats Milk")... Much more healthy for humans (cow's milk actually is for calf, wtf). Better turkey than chicken, chicken than pork, pork than veal. Anyway, better White meat than the red one. Horse meat can be an option. Tuna & sardines, OK. Your diet is very interesting! |

I am told that people over there are very healthy because of the fresh vegs and fruits and riding bicycles. Is that just a myth? Quoting: Ms. Superduper Anyhow, what is your diet like? I like to eat fresh vegetables. A little meat for protein. Example: last night I went through the frig and put together the leftover rice; the leftover sautéed chicken; some broccoli; some carrots; some tomatoes (all fresh and I chopped them) and some parmesan cheese all melted. I frankly was quite amazed at how good it was because my cooking skills lately are not sterling, or maybe it's the crappy food that's in the stores. This, however, was mostly organic, or it's like this :organic.food: Thanks for the thread. Looking forward to hearing about your foods. Well, today the dish of the master chef was: LENTILS with little pieces of carrot, onion, red pepper, meat and bacon. I make the stuff for two or three days lol. For the dinner, some soup. Over here we usually eat Mediterranean food and a lot of legumes... and chicken & pork. Yeah, fruit too (I'm an orange's freak but kiwis and bananas too; generally the fruit of the season and some eccentricity) Lentejas?ynomeinvitas?ayayayyy... |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 64095755 Geez... The Egg Diet, my Irish cousin (lol, I'm Galician, both are Celtic cousins)... For the good/bad cholesterol one needs to be very observant and very regular on blood tests... The liver is the key there. I guess you're talking about boiled eggs. We have here the debate about if fried eggs in olive oil are way healthier than boiled eggs, or if one must to take out the White stuff and eat only the yolk. :eggs: |
