Ursa, my kitchen table, those stupid baskets I already sold 50 of, a shelf, my coffee table, a bad ass belt buckle I traded a shelf for.

I framed the pictures too tight so they are easier to see minimized a little bit, sorry was in a hurry.

Haven't had a chance to ask clients if I could you pics of the inside of their houses yet or pull any pieces out of the shop to show off.

Let me no if link fails.

Nice work. :)

Your baskets would do great at craft and garden shows. You could fill them flowers and what not.

All of your pieces would, but the larger ones would be hard to transport.

If you ever want any advice on how to jury for art shows, let me know. It's hard work but not uncommon to pull at least a couple thousand in 2 days.
 Quoting: Seer777

I'm waiting until I have at least a hundred pieces before a show like that. They sell too fast now to do that. Between the internet, a few local shops I just give them a price they can double and we split the profit, and old customers/ word of mouth I stay pretty busy.

The baskets and shelves are the work horse money makers, the big pieces fetch a good price but anywhere from 1-10 days to complete myself.

Those baskets in the pic are already boxed up for the mail.

You're the elevnty'th person trying to get me to do shows or
Set up a booth somewhere. I'll do big ones here and there eventually with overstock and when I can plan for them.

Ill holler at you though for your input.

Also, screw you sexless hippies. I like sex and I'm not stopping.

:D
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 63731310

If you're already working as much as you like, why add to it? The joy of working for oneself. Am I right? Lol

There are a few tricks of the trade to increasing your odds of being accepted into the shows. Especially the desirable ones.

No. Accepted into the shows. For the good juried art shows, far more people will apply than there are spots available.

You have to apply in your category as well, of which are allowed only so many allotted spots.

It's not that hard but increasing ones odds is always nice.

Very good.

I don't know if 2K in a weekend is worth it to you, but if you have the stock and the desire, one can pull a pretty decent living working for oneself and selling what you create at shows.

I have to go soon and set up. Hopefully it stops raining.

Was thinking about this. Where is the value or growth of sexual energy without love?
 Quoting: Fancy 2513902

I don't really think 'love' comes into play very often with intercourse. Lustful love turns into companionship love over time, more often than not.

Sexual energy is sparked. It can be sparked by what we see, hear, feel, taste, smell, etc.

The spark can be caused from self, a movie, song, stranger, friend, lover, etc..

Doesn't need to have any 'love' involved and often isn't.

That is why porn is so popular to my sense and why prostitution is the 'oldest profession'.

Means to an end.
 Quoting: Seer777

Interesting perspective. I would think what you are talking about is like phosphorescence.

the emission of radiation in a similar manner to fluorescence but on a longer timescale, so that emission continues after excitation ceases.

"Electrons in the material's atoms absorb the light and are temporarily boosted into higher-than-normal energy states. Eventually the elements give up the energy they gained and return to their previous states. They do this by giving off light-the dim glow you see."

 Quoting: Fancypantz

I think that orgasm during sleep, shows that physical manipulation of the genitals is only a small part of the overall sexuality of a person.

The real sex organ is the brain.

And orgasms during sleep happen much, much faster. With no touching at all.

Sexual energy once harnessed and disciplined, can be utilized to flood the rest of higher the chakras.

Very little gets them going more quickly.
 Quoting: Seer777

My point being is that sexual energy without love does only get one so far. It is scales. A means to a greater end if love is involved. Of course, obviously, there is spark without love that be the norm in this transitional age.

That does show there is more than meets the eye for sure. I would say that it works in tandem with physical, emotional, mental, spiritual which is why one of each of these can spark the sexual energy but when all are sparked at the same time is greater scale. It is a type of alchemy of ingredients.

I think what most consider 'love' in sexual relations is 'commitment'. Which works quite well. And not so much. Depending on the bond and loyalty of the pair.

My one and only...kinda thing. Love is both familiarity and dependence. Often enough.

Companionship. Friendship. Compassion when pushed. Forgiveness when wronged. Patience when tried.

If you find a loyal partner which continually sparks you sexually, hold on to them.

That's really interesting regarding the sexual energies. Hypothetical, a guy like king solomon having known over 1000 women would definitely know the difference than right? When he finally had sex with that special one and only, if there is such a thing?

I've always built/fixed things. I like to repurpose discarded material. It has more character than new materials. I guess it started with building forts and tree houses in the woods with whatever I could find. I was a wizard at it.

I like the big heavy pieces. In today's world they are not very common. Ppl are beginning to see the value in them again the quality.

I suppose I relate to those pieces. I'm one of those naturally big and strong individuals and while having its advantages you feel clumsy and cumbersome. Like a bull in a China shop always having to move delicately so as not to knock something breakable over.

I like pieces that can't break and are a joy to be around and own. To be used. I try to create useable art you can interact with that will forgive and stand up to the rigors life puts it through. Not break and fail if you do much as look at them wrong.

The small pieces are my attempt at downsizing that same concept and getting others to appreciate and notice it.

I'm sure there's tons of psychological fuckery in that post about me but oh well.

Now I'm getting off your couch doc.

Yeah I don't pay for barn wood. I work it out for trade or do it for free if they want it cleaned up. On a good day I get paid to get rid of it then cherry pick the good pieces and get paid again off the resell.

Some farmers figured out they could sell it though. Good for them.

I just thought it was over at 5pm, like all the other years. Which, when I count down the hours, adding an extra two at the end of a three day show, was not a welcome surprise.

I'm tired. And the coffee shop in Lillis closed early.
