Guess you'll find out! I thought so, too. My daughter got chicken pox twice. She was very young when she got it the first time. The second time was quite mild because of having had it once previously. OP probably should give Aveeno Bath, Benadryl, and take daughter to the doctor. Could be an allergy and that might be serious. |

Also good to check what the doc says. Around here there was a weird rash from neck to waist on only one side of the body with a fever going on. No idea what it was. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 63852632 United States 10/11/2014 06:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Pretty much what I was expecting from the thread title. Then was going to make a dirty joke until OP mentioned giving her a bath, and that makes her a it too young for the joke to be funny. If her daughter was 18 I would suggest it was sex in the woods w/ her boyfriend when she was "staying" at her friends. On her back is obvious, on her face from the doggie style. BTW it does not look like any chigger bite I've had, or poison oak or ivy. |

It starts out looking like a pimple and a few days later forms a mound which is red and hot and painful. These look like chicken pox, bed bug bites, or my call Molluscum… MRSA is itchy, but people say it feels like a shard of glass is under their skin. You guys are stupid, MRSA is not a skin disease,it is a resistance to antibiotics.I am a nurse. How dumb are you, people? |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28732554 we are <------- this dumb -------> so Sister Nurse, have you read this: Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection is caused by a strain of staph bacteria that's become resistant to the antibiotics commonly used to treat ordinary staph infections. [link to www.mayoclinic.org] Therefore, MRSA is a strain of staph bacteria. "Staph infections may cause disease due to direct infection or due to the production of toxins by the bacteria. Boils, impetigo, food poisoning, cellulitis, and toxic shock syndrome are all examples of diseases that may be caused by Staphylococcus. Community-associated MRSA infections usually affect the skin, causing pimples and boils in otherwise healthy people. Infected areas may be red, swollen, painful, and have pus or other drainage." [link to www.medicinenet.com] so it seems like MRSA infection could present as "a skin disease". are you really a nurse, or are you just playing one on the internet? |

Did she eat or wear anything unusual the day of or day before? Try some anti histamine pills and coat the lesions in hydrocortisone cream. Don't let her scratch, I see some streaking already from scratches. |

Person to person contact spread. Quoting: 101 46156296 It is not scabies either.Scabies start between fingers first and is tiny. I am a nurse,I know what i am talking about. Actually they dont have to show up on hands first. If you come into contact with your arm then it will show up on arm first, then spread to hands once u start to scratch. The trail of scabies is the main sign. Scabies can live up to 3 days with out body contact, and every 2 1/5 days they lay eggs. So it could be days till they show up on hands. Just because you are a nurse really doesn't mean much these days as far as smartness. The I know what I am talking about really doesn't mean much either. There are alot of misdiagnoses from I know what I am talking about Dr's and nurses. Scabies is really common. More then people think. |

Stayed the night at a friends and had these this morning? Bed bugs? Quoting: valleyofthemoon The bits look too small to be bed bugs. Even flea bites are bigger. But, I would say they are likely bug bites of some sort. Just put some cortisone anti-itch cream on it and wash everything she brought home really well. They really look like ant bites or fresh chigger bites. Were they outside playing and rolling in leaves, etc? |
