Alright Spazz, Are you gonna give us an update? You've been on my mind! -and I've been reliving some of my nightmare-boss stories. Most of them are pretty amusing, so it's all good!
I'm hoping that you and your boss had a heart to heart and she opened up to you about some God Awful tragedy which is going on in her private life, which was reconciled this past week-end and she had no idea of the technical difficulties impeding your training annnd she took you out for lunch or drinks :-P, to apologize.
*I should add, nightmare-bosses being the rarity as most are remembered as mentors. :-)

She had no patience for any technical difficulties, including 6 viruses on the computer I was trying to train on, one in the boot drive...there was no anti virus on the computer...NONE...
She blamed me. She was a screamer and a demeaner, belittler, name caller, saying I was too slow. No responsibility for her machines or processes in place before I walked in the door Tuesday to begin working for her and to train. The last person had quit because of her, the front desk of the lobby kinda gave me some insight about her, confirming all this.
SO, I showed up Monday at my normal time, according to the agenda she typed out and handed to me on my first day, and no one was there, the doors were locked, I texted, called, no response. Finally her partner showed up and said I wasn't supposed to be there, I showed her the agenda. I had a heart to heart with the person training me (the personal friend and assistant to the tyrant boss), I also had a heart to heart with the partner Monday morning. We decided to part ways. No way I can work for someone like that, as much as I need to work, half the pay, no benefits, no vacation, no holidays and that abuse. No. It was a first for me basically saying no thanks take this job and shove it, but politely. I told her it was too negative and I wasn't even given a chance to train before I was being blamed for everything in the world.
That is where I am at, unemployed again. And no, she wasn't having a bad day, she needs a person to abuse, a scapegoat, someone to be condescending and demeaning too. That person is not going to be me.
