Oh, nice, I've visited parts of Florida - some beautiful country out there!
It's getting cold up here (Ontario), hopefully some sparks fly soon. ;)
Interesting poll results! I was one of the "fairly new phenomena" voters, but after more consideration, the top option may have been more appropriate. And thank you. He was and is loved by many.
Very interesting read on that site, thank you!
"Crows often appear in groups, and though there seems to be no variation in their caw-ing to each other, each caw actually has a different meaning. Their complex vocabulary is one sign of their intelligence, and is also a sign of their significance as power animals. When a crow explores something new, others watch closely to see what happens and then learn from it.
... Without paying careful attention, we are unable to understand the language of crows, this signifies the fact that we can't always see beyond our own cultural limitations."
Corvids (crow family) are very intelligent, and there is a lot of great research out there about their cognitive abilities.

I'm supposedly a 'crane'.
Quoting: Parabola For me, Florida's appeal is my family and the coasts. Particularly the Gulf, but I'm not a surfer :-). I'm on the west coast, in a tourist based area and we get a lot of Canadians, most of them stay for months at a time:-). I've been to Newfoundland, as a child. I was the first/
only grandchild that my grandparents brought with them on one of their summer visits. They went for 3-4 weeks just about every summer that I can remember. -
Until a moment ago, I've always taken that fact as a compliment, now I'm not so sure!I think I almost accidentally wished some cold weather on some friends in a colder environment, the other day. It actually cooled off for a day and a half here, but we're expecting a front on Tuesday(!).
Oh, you're welcome, and thank you for the link. After talking about birds etc., I escaped to the beach for a bit. There were so many Pelicans. I have never seen so many together. I think they usually spread out more, in smaller groups. It was rare for me. And the water was cold! The last time and most times, its bathwater warm! I'm standing there. watching them, shuffling my feet(literally-sting-rays!), not wanting cold water and I found the most beautiful piece of Coral. I didn't even want to risk losing it, so I decided to put it on my blanket. I turn to walk back and I see a balanced rock-tower, probably 3-feet high! It was basically between the water, me, my blanket and the beach access opening. -It's not a far walk either, so I must've walked right by it, set up my stuff and didn't see it. I was mesmerized with the birds though. I did take pics of the tower, I'll upload one eventually. :-)- I wonder where they found those rocks -we don't have rocky beaches.
-So, I'm looking up Pelican Totems and listening to the Cranes, TY!
