Yeahhh, if I hadn't been my sister's personal Circus Monkey, I don't know when I would've noticed, or started paying attention, even.
It's something though.
I'd like to add that there were 2 lights in particular that this would happen with -as a youth annd I think my interstate stories were the same ones as well..So there may be something going on with those lamps as in faulty etc that makes them more susceptible?

The weak lamps are more susceptible because they can't maintain a constant strong flowing current to beat off the interference some ppl cause the lamps to experience. Most ppl just assume it's the lamp flickering out on its own and sometimes it is. So it actually a combination of what I responded to and the phenomenon of some ppl's ability to interfere with electronics.  (I memorized like 3 new smilies today) Yay! Do not type in :goodmorning; I just found this one the other day and have been waiting to use it.  You'll have to quote to see them because I'm not logged in  Ha! I've seen that toothpaste before but not the second. Experimenting is fun and smilies really do liven up posts, sometimes:-).
