Re: Holly Wood
Yes . The line is always being moved is perhaps a more apt expression of it.

I hope you enjoy the musical interlude I pasted in above. Some days, for me, this song describes the bane of our existence, but yet it leaves me hopeful.

I think I watched that Skrillx video some time ago ... left me wanting to claw my own eyeballs out of their sockets.

Yes it is. People bend slowly but collectively. Tipping point. Once it is reached, it can;t be stopped.

Sometimes...Hope is all that is left.

It's a disturbing video I agree. But leaves a message just the same.

Stampeding around killing the fabricated "monsters" is dumb as a bag of hammers.

More fun and reward to be had filling the monster makers full of the lead they so richly deserve, but that's a job for the authorities.

Re: Holly Wood

It is well known many Fairy tales and children's stories/rhymes were code to pass down knowledge you were not allowed to speak openly about. There are many examples of esoteric knowledge being handed down this way.

They were telling kids there is evil out there and telling them the most evil of them all eat children. These rumors go back as far as the Saturn death cult and are still heard today through the bohemian grove to the ever present and recent rumors of the Vatican underworld.

The implication being those exact same groups were around then and are still active today.

Now, what you tend to believe about a rumor that old and persistent is another discussion altogether, but I believe that is what those stories allude to and why they persist.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 63719223

I see.

Thank you for being so forthright.

I tend to see 'people eating children' as a lesson in Starvation.

Lean and plenty.

And the desperation that hunger causes. As it is relentless, yet slow in it crawl.

And people will do most anything, besides eat their children, to starve off hunger.

I think that is why it was so alarming.
 Quoting: Seer777

Ppl tend to relate to what their world has shown them as possible and probable. I could show you countless examples of children's songs and stories talking about real events that range from horrifying to just down right perverted. I won't though. Anyone who wants to test that theory will find a wealth of compelling information just a few clicks away.

Ppl laugh at dark humor for multiple reasons. One and the most harmless is an empathetic laugh of remembering when the same thing happened to you.

So there you go and vlad the impaler was a real person as well.

So that is why I think thinking of it as starving children is whitewashing a much more sinister past and maybe present than we want to admit exists.

On the Shadow thread? I just read through that a bit.

I think belief can be very dangerous. And hold to very little myself in that regard.

I rather know, that when I place my feet on the floor, I will not fall through. As time has offered up such, and a somewhat reliable guarantee..

Both you and Lia were invoking a dangerous entity. What did I tell you?

The pain is in knowing that (it seems at least) not a single thing I said or did was to blame.

.... I think sometimes I confuse people because I seem two-toned.... realistically it's just a matter of moods

Yet with 'Hollywood' people have seen everything, and so can ascribe anything to anything else.

I understand how that feels. Think about it this way, you are visible. You are posting on an open forum. Therefore, there is an 'audience'.

Whomever that audience may be, is up for debate. And I have seen plenty of speculation regarding. Speculation I never bought into.

However, my belief regarding belongs to me, and may have no bearing on the reality of it all. And I'm okay with that.

Think about it this way, paranoia is a slow poison. Any obstacle placed in front of you, see as a challenge. One which placing ones Ego forefront, will lose the game...if you will.

Humility is key.

To my sense anyway.

Re: Holly Wood
Have you considered the 'line' between potential good and potential evil 'actions' be on the spectrum between selflessness and selfishness?

.... yes but one pitfall I fall into is, be it better to bare the Soul and risk being an exhibitionist, or is it better to contrive in the hopes of striking a root?

I think it depends on both the company and situation.

There is a 'time and a place' if you will...

For example. We have all stood in line at the grocery store and have had a total stranger start telling you about their life. Often some complaint regarding...

It doesn't happen as much as it use to. I think people are far more guarded than they use to be.

I think we all crave connection with those of both like and opposing mind. 'Like' to feel comforted in friendship and understanding. Opposed for healthy and exciting argument. If proper form is held.

So I heard, as did my girlhood 'Hollywood crushes' growing up. Can't watch Lost Boys nows.

For that reason.

Yes it is. People bend slowly but collectively. Tipping point. Once it is reached, it can't be stopped.

Sometimes...Hope is all that is left.

It's a disturbing video I agree. But leaves a message just the same.

I go back and forth with Trust. My ability to do so, that is.

I think we all do.

From the first time we cried out for our mother and she didn't come...or serve our immediate demands.

From then on out, we knew we were ultimately 'on our own' in that regard. Yet surrounded by those 'like us'.

What is called.........

'Theory of Mind'.

That's it.

Unfortunately I don't want to read that thread. Disgusting. And yet another taint upon our selves as a species and our trust in good will.

As to why we are pitted against these things is what I, as a Dragon indeed, do quite fail to comprehend as alas there is no true or fair course but to defeat and to kill without mercy.

Not a practice nor a spar, not something that'd be reconciled when it were that there could be the sign from above to brighten and emblazon it upon our eyes.

Just, ugliness. A horrendous scar upon our hope and our faith in each other. To call it evil is a step too far, however. Pain begets pain begets pain until it can be found a way for that to be reconciled.

Within opium there is the engenderment of pleasure, pain, and due stagnancy. Were it without all three we could never quite become dependent upon it. It'd become just a morning coffee or perhaps less uselessly a kick in the balls (/amphetamine).

hmm

Curious indeed, I must say

I didn't read it either. I just noted it the next day. I avoid much of GLP. It's why I often mention the 'unpin all' being such a good optional feature.

Pedophilia has wormed its way through Mankind. And the damage done, is irreversible.

Opium never had much of an effect on me. I did like the way it tasted though.

Morning coffee is one of my favorite things. Those first few sips. What a blessing.
