I just do not remember where. Also all the world is suppose to see the Two Witnesses killed, how could that be until satellite news coverage. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 907170 Yes, the prophecy is Damascus will be in ruins. Precisely - many end time prophecies could not happen without the satellites that many nations have placed in orbit. |

Paul leads us to believe it is. Now my question is - can it be the replica that the temple mount faithful have erected to train priests? Of course there are those who argue it doesn't have to be a literal 3rd temple; perhaps, just the ark of the covenant. |

When the Apostle John wrote down his Revelation from Jesus Christ, he said these were things that must "shortly come to pass" (Revelation 1:1), so obviously they began right after he wrote the things down. The book of Revelation is a history of God's people down to our time and it also traces Christ's movements in the heavenly Sanctuary as He ministers for us (read the book of Hebrews). Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2268641 Also, there are no dispensations. The woman of Revelation 12 represents the God's Old Testament people and also His New Testament people, the stars in her crown represent the twelve sons of Jacob/Israel as well as the twelve Apostles. It's the same woman. The Jews were supposed to accept their Messiah, but they didn't, they screwed up big time. We are definitely at the end of the end ties. Apparently shortly - is not our (human) shortly: with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day He will revive us after two days; He will raise us up on the third day, 2 Peter 3:8 Christ's Coming Judgment …7But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. 8But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. Hosea 6:2 1"Come, let us return to the LORD. For He has torn us, but He will heal us; He has wounded us, but He will bandage us. 2"He will revive us after two days; He will raise us up on the third day, Yeah? And sometimes "shortly" means just what it says. I'm sure John was not thinking in terms of the prophecies beginning after a thousand years and then all of them happening at the same time. The historical flow of the Bible prophecies traces the movements of Christianity and will take us to the exact place we should be at the exact time the specific event is happening; but most churches prefer to guess and assign "dispensations" and different requirements along the line, they look in the wrong place for fulfillment of the prophecies. However, it will come together eventually and people will choose for or against God. Oh, and how do you expect to interpret a prophecy correctly if you use II Peter 3:8? That verse has nothing to do with interpreting prophecy; imagine how confusing it would be, this thing could go on for many thousands of years while other texts imply imminence. Read the context of what Peter was talking about. No wonder people laugh at Christians. You are quite right, leaving ourselves open to criticism by date setting is asking for it. But one always has to keep in mind Gods admonishment - my thoughts are not you thoughts and yours not mine. I always say thank goodness for that!! Which is why one can never give a time line. All I do is what Jesus repeated tells us to do - is watch for his signs and to try and keep the spiritual oils burning (parable of 10 virgins). 37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. There are several blessings in Revelation and I hoping to receive one. Revelation 1 King James Version (KJV) 3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein Revelation 22 King James Version (KJV) 6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: 7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. Also here is an answer to II Peter 3:8 [link to creation.com] . . . Also, it is not defining a day because it doesn’t say ‘a day is a thousand years’. The correct understanding is derived from the context—the Apostle Peter’s readers should not lose heart because God seems slow at fulfilling His promises because He is patient, and also because He is not bound by time as we are. .......... |

What is this saying - verse 9: But they shall proceed no further Paul is calling this period the last days. Therefore if men meet these requirements they shall proceed no further. My thinking is the last days means - time exists no more i.e. Great trib is here. Therefore, is this what men are like today? 2 Timothy 3 King James Version (KJV) 1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. 9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was. |

Judgment is in ratio to her privilege. vv. 6-8 — Judgment on all nations — this is Armageddon, which ends with the return of Christ to the earth. III. Judgments removed; kingdom established, Chapter 3:9-20 v. 9 — This does not mean there will be one language for the entire world, although there may be only one language — perhaps the language on the other side of the Tower of Babel. The thought here is “pure” in the sense of the removal of the filthy, profane, and nasty language. The “four letter words” will disappear. vv. 10-12 — These are kingdom conditions. vv. 13-16 — The remnant of Israel enters the kingdom. Their attitude and speech are changed. Fear is removed. The Lord Jesus Christ reigns over them personally. This refers to the second coming of Christ. v. 17 — This verse is the key of the book. This is the white light in a black background. The purpose of judgment is not vindictive, but to cleanse and purify in order that blessing and goodness might ensue from the ordeal. (See author’s booklet, “The Dark Side of Love.”) vv. 18-20 — This describes kingdom conditions. These are they that should be preserved from the general calamity, as the Christians were, and were left in the church of God. The followers of Jesus Christ are the humble people of the world. They have to give up all their conceit and arrogance to come to Christ. The power to live the Christian life lies in the ability to trust in the name of Jesus. God provides a lot more detail on this war than others since 1948. My humble opinion is men are approaching the point we see in the post above 2 tim 3. That's why I think the gog magog war will happen before the great trib. He will do something sooo supernatural, that even the most hardened of men will have to admit no human could do that, or plan for it. That there is a supreme God of the universe and give him the glory he deserves. This is his last attempt to reach us because he wishes no one to perish. And he will as 2 tim 3 says proceedeth no more - he's done with us. Those who still deny him are unsalvageable. As Joel Rosenberg put it: [link to flashtrafficblog.wordpress.com] Ezekiel 39:21 — “I will set My glory among the nations; and all the nations will see My judgment which I have executed and My hand which I have laid on them.” Did you catch that? “All” the nations will “see” God’s glory and judgment. Today, we are living in the first generation in human history where because of the miracle of global satellite television technology people in every country on the planet will be able to watch the prophecies of the Bible come true before their very eyes. |

Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God"; that is, in prayer: and these are the sons and daughters of the Almighty, who are scattered abroad in the several parts of the world, and among the rest here; but as they are gathered together by Christ in redemption, so they are found out and reached by efficacious grace in calling, whether Jews or Gentiles. Some think the Jews are here meant, even the elect of God among them, who were dispersed in several nations, and particularly in Egypt and Ethiopia; who were met with by the Gospel, and converted in the first times of it; to these Peter and James direct their epistles: and of whom, being called by grace, it is said, they: shall bring mine offering........ Revelation 15:4 "Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for [thou] only [art] holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest." Zephianiah Verses 11-13: The Lord will purge the proud and ungodly from among them. (Zech. 13:1-6), leaving a meek and humble people. Material prosperity and peace will accompany them as well, allowing them to enjoy the rich blessings of God undisturbed (Joel 3:18-20; Mica 4:4). Zephaniah 3:11 "In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain." "In that day shall thou not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me": Because these shall not be continued in, but repented of, and forsaken; and, besides, shall be forgiven, blotted out, covered, and remembered no more. "For then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that rejoice in thy pride": The Scribes and Pharisees, and those that adhered to them of the Jewish nation, who rejoiced in those things which that people generally prided themselves in and boasted of. Their descent from Abraham, and their observance of the rites and ceremonies of the law. And the traditions of their elders, and their external legal righteousness. And they rejoiced in their boastings of these things, which rejoicing was evil. And they, in the pride of their hearts, despised Christ and his righteousness, his Gospel, ordinances, and people, which were the things in which they transgressed against the Lord, and for which they were taken away by the sword, famine, and pestilence, at the destruction of Jerusalem. "And thou shall no more be haughty because of mine holy mountain": The temple; or, "in" it; since it should now be destroyed: the Jews gloried in the temple, and behaved proudly and haughtily on the account of it; reckoned themselves secure, because of that; and trusted and gloried in the sacrifices there offered up, and the services there performed (see Jer. 7:4). All Israel shall be turned to the Lord, and they will no longer be a haughty people, believing they are the only children of God. They had thought themselves better than the rest of the world, because they alone, had the law of God. This was all removed in the coming of their Messiah who brought salvation to all the world. Zephaniah 3:12 "I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD." "I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people": Of a character just the reverse of the proud and haughty that should be removed from Jerusalem and Judea by death or captivity. Matthew 5:3 "Blessed [are] the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Luke 6:20 “And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed [be ye] poor: for yours is the kingdom of God." Philippians 2:10-11 "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth;" "And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Zephaniah 3:13 "The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make [them] afraid." "The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity": This is the remnant, according to the election of grace, the few the Lord reserved for himself, left in the land, and in his church, for his own glory; who, being truly convinced of sin, and brought to believe in Christ, should leave and forsake their former course of sinning. Not that they should be without sin, or none be committed by them; but should not live in it, and be workers of it. Make a trade of sinning, and continue therein; or should not commit the sin against the Holy Ghost, as great numbers of the Jews did, in rejecting Jesus as the Messiah, against clear evidence, and the light of their own consciences.
