Did not read it all but agree with the beginning. We are most certainly in the end times and prophecy is being fulfilled before our eyes. Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6) Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus. (Revelation 14:12) |

The first 2 chapters of Isaiah are similar to the ones in Ezekiel that described regarding Israel's rebelliousness & the holy land on the top of a high mountain during the millenial reign. What's different is how the nations of the world interact with the house of Israel in chapter 2. |

But the prophecies given to them by God - were very much a like. |

Chapter 2 of Isaiah - nations shall go to the top of the mountain - eager to learn the word of the Lord.... And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. 3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. |

Jerusalem is unsalvageable and Isaiah 3 ends with women losing their men in battle: 8 For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the Lord, to provoke the eyes of his glory. 9 The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves. 11 Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him. 25 Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war. 26 And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she being desolate shall sit upon the ground. |

It was the clothes made the person (we hear that today too) What Paul says in Romans 1 about men in the last days fits perfectly of women in Isaiah's time...they had haughty & wanton eyes. Romans 1 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Notice what much of what Isaiah 3 and Isaiah 4 speak of - "in that day"... We can infer from this that Isaiah may be speaking of the last days. Maybe that's why no matter what the verses said - I could say "that sounds like today" :) |

I am Satan and you will behold. Big problem was - nobody listened to the prophets then, no matter how dire the warning. Same thing today. People mocked them then. Same thing today. We know the destruction came true for Israel !!!!! But now - something that would get someone stoned in that era.. Today, they even mock God: 2 Peter 3:3 In the last days scoffers will come with their mocking... |
