Some fix, that. We only have ourselves to go on, and it’s enough…" -Charles Bukowski "Grasping at things can only yield one of two results: Either the thing you are grasping at disappears, or you yourself disappear. (OP) User ID: 70849947 United States 11/23/2015 10:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Odd that this old post was bumped. Can't recall what it was about but , knowing myself, I would guess it was something about apathy, complacency and a general lack of willingness to see the writing on the wall. Followed by the sound of crickets (no response), causing me to edit the post message and retitle for what it was....another fruitless endevor. Futility. I'm not certain though. It's just a guess. It's been over a year ago. I'm still leaning towards all my intentions and actions being completely futile expenditures of energy. It is what it is. I don't know why I continue to struggle. I'm just hard headed, I guess. I really just wish I had the leap of faith to throw my hands up in the air and surrender. It's all been a theatrical performance and should be titled, "pissing in the wind" "Beware lest you lose the substance by grasping at the shadow". ~Aesop "Once in a dream I saw a snake swallowing its own tail, it swallowed and swallowed until it got halfway round, and there it stopped and there it stayed, it was stuffed with its own self.
