User ID: 40885184 Germany 10/02/2014 06:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm up in Plano, all is well so far. I work with tons of ER nurses and they aren't too worried about it. Quoting: fooz Yea lets see what they say when they get their first unit on ward. People should be alert, not crazy panic, but alert and cautious more then ever on safe handling precautions. It's safer at the hospital than it is in public. Much, much cleaner in a hospital and they clean not stop all day every day. Actually, you are wrong. No kidding, people actually die there everyday! |

(OP) User ID: 59948382 United States 10/02/2014 06:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hi everyone! I live in the Lake Highlands area, about 10 minutes from patient 0. I was at the local Walmart today, but was unable to buy hand sanitizer, they were out. I went to the post office, where all of the employees were wearing latex gloves. I then received a call from Wallace Elementary stating that three of the kids were not in school because of exposure to ebola virus. Quoting: indycity Pretty scary around here. Thanks for the report! |

People at the post office were wearing gloves? Is this being done at all facilities? So what about the general populace receiving mail? |

I've worked in healthcare for 15 years. The handles, rails, door knobs, etc... at your home or work place are much nastier than those at a hospital. Sigh.... Maybe you don't see my way... Lots of sick people with all kinds of crap coming to the hospital getting infections of all kinds from each other... The risk is there to get anything when having surgery of any type... Shit, just doing a routine arthroscopic knee surgery can give you infection... [link to sports.espn.go.com] The reason we get sick is vitamin D deficiency....
