If only the Republican ideals he holds dear were actually those practiced by the party. Sadly Bill, both parties are out to screw us all and if you know that already shame on you for still working for the bastards. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26255514 I like Bill Whittle and his videos. Unfortunately I think you are right, "if only the Republican ideals .... were actually practiced by the party" Oligarchy is a club and you aren't in it. Lesser of two evils is still evil. And the people always get screwed whichever wing of the criminal syndicate is in power. Although I prefer at least some token attempts at small government, sound money and some rollback of the tyranny overtaking the country. That is about all the country can hope for. To both of you. You've got it. Now go share the nuance. |

Nice try, if I was a tard I would have bought that shit. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34455019 Oh yeah, then there is this “I will say then that I am not, nor ever have been in favor of bringing about in anyway the social and political equality of the white and black races – that I am not nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with white people; and I will say in addition to this that there is a physical difference between the white and black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races living together on terms of social and political equality. And inasmuch as they cannot so live, while they do remain together there must be the position of superior and inferior, and I as much as any other man am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race. I say upon this occasion I do not perceive that because the white man is to have the superior position the negro should be denied everything.” by: Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865) 16th US President Source: Fourth Debate with Stephen A. Fisher is wrong on two fronts. First, many people talk about the “fact” that King was a Republican. It is asserted incessantly by conservatives on Twitter and elsewhere on the internet, especially in the lead up to today’s 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. The claim is most prominently advanced by King’s niece, Republican activist Alveda King. Over the years, conservative groups have purchased billboards making the claim. Second, Martin Luther King Jr. was not a Republican. Or a Democrat. Read more: [link to thinkprogress.org] |

Everybody knows the Republican Party is the party of the rich fat cats whose only goal is to own everything. People see this played out every Christmas on their TV when they watch reruns of the movie "Its a wonderful Life". Jimmy Stewart wasn't making speeches praising the laurels of the rich dudes in the Republican party. He was rootin for the little guy. The Republican party has been dying for sometime now cause no one wants to turn this country back into a bunch of Pottersvilles. With nothing but a huge disparity between rich and poor and no middle class. Trying to rewrite history to say the republican party is the party of the poor and middle class is nothing but a joke. The rich can buy all the ad time they want but in the end the people always realize who the real Mr. Potters of this world are and their certainly not the folks who make up the Democratic Party. |
