Well. He has his reasons. They are not one and the same to my sense.

If someone is bothering you on Lop, I would suggest mentioning said to the mods there and request their assistance.

Or you could tell him to leave you alone.

Doesn't always work but certainly shows your desire to want no contact. If that is your desire in that regard.

You're right though. I gave Flo the benefit of the doubt. 'She' was one of the few not attacking me directly, at the time.

Did I consider it was a ruse? Absolutely. I just didn't have the energy left to care.

And the distraction was both annoying and relieving at times.

Yes. My energy levels have not quite recovered from alll that.

This time of year always seems to be hard on me. Now that I think about it, this entire year has been on long mindfuck.

The last 3 years for that matter.

My apologies if this has been covered as I've yet to read the whole thread, but have you ever read the tales of reefkeepers attempting to catch and remove one of these things....?

Apparently, their intelligence makes this a difficult task. One wonders if spatial reasoning can translate directly into a form of intelligence for a biological entity.

hmm

Their ability to communicate is also reprtedly top-notch.

I've always been of the belief that certain animals, had they made the struggle onto land, may have eventually discovered fire. Octopods and squid would be another example.

It occurs it is difficult for Mankind to think of itself as merely a 'handed animal'. Personally I feel that the fact we have yet to progress beyond opiates in the management of pain speaks loudly to the great importance of biology as a science.

My Internet is being fussy but I would like to comment....

.... what if we could remember not only the feelings, but the actual sights seen and sounds heard (etc.) of every single one of our ancestors?

.... does that explain memetics I wonder....?

Sort of begs the question of exactly whom is doing the remembering....

Remember blood? Abzu bleed for 3 days.

The Absu turned red when hit by the plasmoid from Venus, and then disappeared except for one remaining ring. It looked like the arrival of a dragon which smashed into the rings. The untold billions of electrons arriving and smashing into the rings of the Absu would have neutralized most of the ionized gases. The dragon bled for three days. The "blood" seen in the sky could have been constituted by any number of diffuse common atmospheric gases, ionized or excited.

Ever try to net a Damsel fish? So fast...

At the very end a Damsel fish attacks it. No doubt.

In the 15 years I have had a salt water tank, the damsel fish be the meanest. And the fastest.

Just try to net one.
 Quoting: Seer777

When I first started out as an aquarist, I was offered the damsel fish as a 'hardy starter'. lol.

So territorial it killed nearly everything in the tank. Even invertebrates.

Eventually, I had to remove every single piece of live rock in my tank, to get him out. No easy task. Cost me hundreds. As a hobbyist.

The next was the Tomato clown.

They become king the tank. In short order.

All our ancestors are tied to us. Looking out through our eyes...

Through genetic passage, to us. The current living.

However, ALL their personal memories and experiences, the ones we all experience while being alive, how do those interact in a epigenetic function?

Do they in this way?

A real beauty but held its own with trigger fish and surgeon fish and was built body and mind for the task.

He had several very large bubble tip anemones all too himself. I actually she'd a tear viewing him in the pet store wherein I was forced to drop him off one day.... he barely even looked alive, let alone being the lustrous yet delicate beauty I had raised.

I think this painting is related to the eye. Notice the phoenix has only one eye showing within the cube. I think the other cube with the man inside, both represent the hypercube. And the red is prominent as well.

I walked into a show called Revolution earlier.

I sat down for a bit and the called one of the characters 'Fancypants'. At least twice while I sat there for 10 minutes or so.

My first exposure to the show.

'Red' was all of Star Trek TNG last night. It was one of the themes.
