In light of the fact that I'm trying to learn this stuff on my own, or maybe because I am learning on my own, I have noticed I have made several errors in some of my threads that mention electromagnetic radiation.

This link has helped me understand the properties better, the author has a straight forward, no nonsense way of explaining things like electromagnetic wave and the electromagnetic wave spectrum.

There are many different types of electromagnetic radiation, some are man-man and some occur naturally.

Electromagnetic radiation has some fascinating properties such as it does not require a medium for propagation. It can be reflected or refracted, and even more riveting, it
can be captured by placing a metal rod, a loop, parabolic metal dish in it's path and it can be launched into the atmosphere with the same tools.
