Within 6 months you will not be able to tell if it is a man or robot from 20 feet away. Only thing I am wondering, will these be powered by a small gas turbine or what? Gas turbine would be the likely way. Batteries would not last long without some new technology. Maybe a hybrid, turbine keeping batteries up like the Hybrid cars. We'll be fighting these suckers next year when they try to exterminate the people that Ebola doesn't.  |

Right now it's batteries, I can see the big machines already have cooling issues, the quad copters are definitley an area of concern? They are going to mount weapons on those for sure, zip right up and drop a flash bang grenade on you |

We built autonomous suvs that where to be used as a border patrol per se. They could determine threats/ non threats, utilize lethal force, then go about their business. That's a scary reality. Imagine these things patrolling our streets. the only human interaction was refueling and maintenance. The first step is to establish that something is possible; then probability will occur.
