OP's lifelong revenge on the cool kids who wrecked their childhood continues.

Other angels of insecurity swoop in for the holy circle-jerk.

Guess it beats actually going out and experiencing something right?

I'll pray for you.

Cool kids?

No, thanks. I do not think Nordquist and Diddy are all that "cool" or special to be honest.

I pray for you every night.

The Black Rock City Airport is constructed adjacent to the city, typically on its southern side. The airport serves a variety of aviation traffic, including private airplanes, helicopters, hot air balloons, ultralights, gliders, and skydivers

Yeah, cuz you can just construct a city for no reason, out of nothing, and with a special air strip for just no good reason.

Burning Man's 2007 theme, "Green Man", received criticism for the artwork Crude Awakening, a 99-foot oil derrick that consumed 900 gallons of jet fuel and 2,000 gallons of liquid propane to blast a mushroom cloud 300 feet high into the sky

Because that's obviously not a poignant commentary on our use of fossil fuels.

It's obviously a giant Hail Satan. They called it 'Crude Awakening' because they obviously did it all to try and wake the devil.

And I bet you'll assemble your cabal of armchair monks and march on down there to protest right?

What, exactly, do you intend to do besides rant in a thread about it with your fellows?

Re: Burning Man Festival: Evil Rituals
I know there are some really committed burners out there that are into the Spirit of whatever it once was.

that being said, I went in 2012 and was very disappointed. It is such a waste of resources, plus the shear number of old rich men plying young girls with free liquor just for the hope of getting laid was annoying.

Seems to me it has simply become a huge party that has lost its soul.

Someone said "Everyone needs a little insanity sometimes" and while I get the sentiment, I felt as though the place was full of Squares desperate for escapism. What I find most sorrowful about that is why cannot some people live in Truth Always. The fact that some people feel so repressed that they cannot live in truth all the time is what is Killing our society now.

Again, I know there was more to it at one time, now its just a big drug/liquor infused party for the sake of partying. And we can do better.

And the Burning of all that wood? Fuck, what could be built and last permanently instead of just destroying for the sake of destruction?
I love you.

Artwork and description for this years theme.

"Have the nature of a dervish: then wear a stylish cap."
—Proverb of the Caravan of Dreams

(snippet from article)

Our desert inn will also be a scene of luxury and cultivated ease. An apron of fine carpets will spread out beneath the shade of portals that surround a courtyard. Here travel-wearied pilgrims may relax, inventing pastimes as they watch the whirling world go by. Workers of great wonders will be welcome here; fakirs, dancers, sadhus, seers and potentates will throng through this performance space, like figures that adorn the fabric of a silk brocade. Finger cymbals, chimes, and music of acoustic instruments will fill the air. By night, bathed in the lambent glow of lanterns gently swaying overhead, fire spinners will perform around the Burning Man. This year's Man will rise directly from the desert floor and tower many stories high. Its massive torso will evoke a tiered pagoda; its ornate head will be a lamp that welcomes people home.

Then it's sibling is at Mecca. A lot more people point there nose in that direction every day.

16 And he brought me into the inner court of Jehovah's house, and behold, at the entry of the temple of Jehovah, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of Jehovah and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.
17 And he said unto me, Seest thou, son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah to commit the abominations which they commit here, that they yet fill the land with violence, and keep provoking me afresh to anger? And behold, they put the branch to their nose.
18 And I also will deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity; and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them.

That prophecy has been fulfilled.
