Isis is from ancient Egyptian religion and mythology based on Isis and Orisis.

I dont think that is what this group is claiming to be.

The lower level people in ISIS don't even know how it started.

if ISIS not the true form of Islamic teaching

they wouldnt named "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" as their shadow nation

they would change it with "Homeless State people of Iraq and Syria"
