There was no blood after 8 cuts. You saw a shadow. The blood would also stain the orange shirt had there been any. There was none. They cut it because there was no beheading.

well lets think about THIS, these parents had known for a few months that their son was captured by these people, so a few months ago is when they more than likely went through some serious emotions and pretty much had to accept the fact that he was more than likely going to be murdered. The government or military people more than likely said they were going to try to get him back but hopes are low. So fast forward to now, these parents have probably already accepted his death and now they can some what be in "peace" knowing he is truly gone now instead of every day being an agonizing waiting game of "maybe".

Another line of thought is that their son was never in any harm.

The mum still thinks the son is alive (referring to "the values James hold dear), so your angle of them accepting him as gone doesn't appear in this video.

We can accept that this is a mistake on her part considering that she may still be in shock, but it doesn't explain the husband trying correct a mistake most people didn't even notice until he pointed it out.

And if she was in that much shock not to be able to articulate her words, she doesn't deserve to be on camera.

Jame's mum still thinks the son is alive. Interesting. Seems he was never in any for 2 years....Also he seems to be in good physical form, no signs of torture, no swollen parts of the body and he read his script like a don without skipping a beat like he would be around tomorrow.

Vid was so FAKE. Think about it. The video was obviously released to instill fear in the viewer. If I were a sheep, I'd definitely be much more fearful if they showed the entire thing from start to finish. They cut the most important part because it would have been MUCH harder to fake.

Indeed it would be much harder to fake from that point and the reason why they couldn't do it for real and had to fake it are as follows:

They needed an urgent reason for war now. Within that limitation they have, its hard to pull off a real beheading.

Its not everyday you find people ready to behead people neither is it everyday you find people with James credentials willing to die. Chances of success are minimal because:

Executioner could develop a conscience
The victim could put up a fight for his life
People around could also develop a conscience and stop the act.

If any of this happens, we see no propaganda video within the time they need it. We see no video, we are not moved to war.

They could however do this in real life but to get their video out, to increase their chances of success, they have to get more participants....

More executioners
Different locations
More third parties
More victims as you can't die twice.

All of this increases risks.

The best way out, as they have done, is to stage a production where everyone is at ease with their roles. They can have as many takes as possible to get it right for mass consumption.
