I've reassembled all my 'junker' Kenwood radios.

Selling them off for a big loss, sold one.

I think the mistake I made is that over 10 years or so of that model subtle changes were made over the years.

Once I started swapping out boards, without marking them....

BIG mistake!

Looking at buying another different model that Hopefully works. I really like the TS-830S and TS-530S, I've owned both. Fixed them up and sold for a good profit.
They do not have near as many problems as the TS-820S model.
"Hybrid Restore" has quit working on that model this year, one of the countries biggest shops.
That should tell you something!

I worked on my 2nd automatic keyer, re wired it to match the #1 keyer. I like Morse Code, I have hand keys and one set of "paddles" to use with electronic keyers.

Need to keep my code speed up. I can send with either hand, old style 'hand key' or with paddles.

Maybe next weekend or so back on air.....with luck.

Then I can see about getting this 1000 Watt amplifier going.

I did put my G5RV Dipole back up, changed the configuration just a bit. The feed line ("ladder lead") is part of the radiating element. Before it was rolled up on the roof, now is straight out at 45 degrees, sideways. 90 would be better but you do what you can!

I hate to see it but I'm looking at 12 volt Kenwoods that can go mobile, "more durable and smaller, simpler".
Maybe put one in the truck with a small tuner and a military big Green antenna....

Might pick them up for $150 shipped.

Puts out just a little bit more than the "Hybrids" too, that means tube 'finals'.
All solid state is what I think I'm getting.

Looking at a big tuner to replace the one I sold.....

Try to get the 1KW amp going, yes I know I said that before...

Waiting on a new radio, or an auction on ebay to end is almostas frustrating as not being on the air!

It will be Minimum one more week to just get a radio and plug it in.....then find out if it works!

I bought a Kenwood TS-530SP today. Looking forward to that!

It has the 100 volt negative to "Neutralize" the big 1000 amp i want to get going.

"Survival Net" is on now. I'll bump my Net thread.

"We" pulled my water pump and 140 feet of pipe a SECOND TIME today.

My well is now 100%, no more air in the line. We replaced the pipe with some good used pipe. A crack in the pipe from when last pulled allowed air into the system, annoying as hell.

New pump, new wire ,new pressure switch. Should be good for a few years now. Water is at 60-70 feet, pump down 140 feet.

I have been trying some different brands of thieves Oil and they are all nice. Aura Casia brand is just as good as young Living Brand but they smell Different. Then I ordered one off Etsy from a lady who makes them herself. In fact she even wrote the recipe she uses! Here is is; 10 drops of Clove Oil
9 drops of Lemon Oil
5 drops of Cinnamon Bark
4 drops of Eucalyptus Oil
3 drops of Rosemary Oil

Now I think I am going to try ordering each of those Oils individually and then mixing them myself. Because I do not like so much eucalyptus Oil smell, but I know I like lavender.

Thank you to the people who wrote about putting the Oils in a Diffuser. I do that. And I put a few drops in the Laundry. We do a Lot of Laundry since I am taking in B-and-B Guests this Season. And I'll have even more next month and then even more for Foliage Season! But not more than four couples per week! that is all my staff and me can Accomadate

One Big QuestioN:

Is thieves Oil good for Allergies? I have hired a man to put together a Hay Ride and there is so much Pollen this year! I do not want to be a red-Eyed Hostess or blow my nose, but I will NOT take those allergy tablets. I thought about gargling with a bit of theives Oil with some salt water. Would that be safe?

Or is there anything else good for Allergies that is Natural?

Running the TS-530SP daily.
Sold one TS-120S, still tinkering with the other.
In excellent condition. Had excessive band switch play. Turned out to be a loose shaft coupling, easy fix. Still wants to blank out the digital display on 21 Mhz. Getting better. I "Serviced" the VFO, not much change. I don't think it's in the wafer switches......I wet them with Corrosion X, my personal little trick.
It's an intermittent problem, cold connection some place that might never be found.

Still looking at amps. Lots of nice gear coming up for sale lately, many things I've never seen before.

Lots of "Old Hams" dying.
Lots of death now, this is going to increase.....

Replaced the gear that drives the water pump and timing.
Never had one of these apart before. pretty simple after you do it twice.......
Sounds pretty good. Timing chain I took off was stretched real bad, OLD.
Need to finish tomorrow, fan back on, radiator back in.
Anti Freeze. Then get the idle set. Darn thing always idled funny, would speed up and slow down once warmed up.
Maybe now it'll idle smooth?
Got a big tuner in, 3KW, busted up inside, made repairs yesterday. Bought a 600 watt linear amp 2 weeks ago.
Junk, bad tubes, bad power supply.
Sent it back, he should have received it Monday near Chicago.

So then I went back to the first of the thread to see if I had missed any Recipes. I read through ten whole pages of strange predictions that never happened before I got to the first real Recipe! Then it had too much garlic.
Can you imagine what somebody smells like with all that garlic? Please do not tell me anybody really uses that recipe on page ten. That is too much garlic. Maybe I would try it if I was sick but I'm not and nobody else here is either right now. I guess it is good to have the Recipe just in case.

But I got to reading the weirdest things in this thread about how somebody predicted there would be no food by now and Famine everywhere. Well that didn't happen now did it? And somebody wrote he had gone and signed up to be some kind of a sovereign citizen. I am going to ask my nephew about that because he is a deputy and that is the kind of thing he said something about at the AARP meeting he was guest speaker at to avoid scams on Seniors about paying Taxes, and Scams in general. The author of this thieves Oil thread should not let somebody write like when people want to discuss Remedies. No scams for This Senior!

Oil of Oregano! That is what I am researching now. I am going into town to the health Food Store to get some and try it. I called and they said it cost $16.00. There is a good article on Dr Metcola about oil of Oregano. If anybody wants to look it up you can find it on google. Oregano is supposed to work best on sinus infections and foot fungus. I wonder if it smells like pizza, but I am going to try it at the first sign of a sniffle.
