Staying away and not involved has been my latest action. I avoid almost everyone at extreme loneliness. Worked a flea market last week end...a man I thought I made friends with.....next to me, a Viet Nam Vet... when I asked him to watch my things for 2 minutes to take a bathroom break, coming back 2 minutes later he is leaving, in a hurry, could have hit me with his car! I find minutes later a $100 USMC Kabar knife he tried to trade junk for all morning.....is gone. He had out of state tags. I filed a police report but will likely never see him again. It would be best for him if I do not. Trust no-one today. |

The recoil spring was broken. I've gotten real good at 'annealing' the end of the flat wire spring, make a new bend hook, reheat and temper again, instead of buying a new one. This had a stupid tube of sheet metal bent out to hold it all together, frilled that out, replaced with nut and bolt. 100% now for that. The generator seems OK, needs a new 220 volt breaker, might be $10. I'll order one this week. This is from a Doom Financial thread, I've read all those articles in the last few days. I look at King news daily. Listened to the Jones interview also, every day in fact. I agree.....It does look convincingly like the wheels are about to fall off. Then of course we have "Operation Jade Helm" simultaneously Coincidence? I think not. The Ubangies will rip this country apart when their EBT quits. Lets not forget the Rabi with the "Shemitah" stuff too! EVERY 7 years, like clock work...... If I were a betting man, YUP, I'll bet America will be in a whole world of hurt by end of September. My brother over Mom's house, $20K, the rest of my blood in northern lower Michigan.....Another $20K in Gold and Silver and much of my Grand Father's guns (more than half is what I was told in his Will). It's OK though...if it makes THEM happy. With 100 MRAPs 40 miles from the relatives 'Up North' and now I am hearing mass graves......'Pits'....are being dug at Fort Grayling...... Blue wasn't handy last time putting it together! Dammit! Also had the man at the big Stihl dealership check for the 220 volt circuit breaker for that $50 generator..... He couldn't find anything on it. I spent an hour scouring Coleman's web site, nadda. Finally searched ebay of all places. New breaker is on the way. Other than that, just being lonely. The tubes I ordered last week....yup, I know better, 9 "Test Good no grid leaks" etc, only one tests good! One doesn't even light up, no filament. 2 test below 10%. 2 test less than 50%. Junk, all but one. I'll be sending them back. Still ticked I missed a Kenwood TS-430S with extras that sold for $150 last week! Just kinda holding my breath....I really do expect everything to fall apart in the next 60 days. Just as the worst winter we've ever see3n comes on. "We'll See" Michael |

Fried another good tube. I've got one radio that doesn't show correct frequencies on all bans, weird, I cannot imagine what would cause this. Half of the settings on band switch are off one band, second half are correct! Another will give no readout on the digital display. Voltages are good, boards are good, has me stumped! I keep going back to the one radio that I'm sure is 100%. It's the one I used to test a big pile of circuit boards from all the other radios......Now I cannot get it going. Testing some more tubes. Hopefully I can give another try tomorrow. Getting cooler. Down to almost 50 degrees last 2 nights here in South West Missouri. A little cooler and I'll be hunting. |
