I think it can be done.

They pull off the right event, people can't find food, water, or other necessities, let that go on for a few months and most will be dead anyway.

THEN is when they declare martial law.

THEN is when they send in the extraction teams to get the militias and what not.

Basically have an economic collapse and let society kill each other off. Then go after whoever is left.

Maybe the FEMA camps are for their muscle while the collapse is going. Those people will be so thankful they and their families were allowed to live and taken care of that they will gladly fire on whoever is left.

Well, sir, you are fortunate on this day because you happen to be talking to a man who fought in the Iraq war, 2 tours, Army Infantry, so you get to hear the truth from someone with almost 2 years of boots-on-the-ground experience.

The plan was not to win the war quickly. We were held back like chained dogs for much of the time. We even developed our own sources and Intel, good solid leads as to where the enemy commanders were located, and often it was ignored. They wanted a long drawn out campaign with minimal losses.

When we were cut loose, we did good work. Many regretful things might not have taken place if we had used a mobile, offensive doctrine with our mechanized infantry.

Instead, we played it safe, for the most part. We could have severed the enemies lines of food supply in many instances and were not allowed for humanitarian purposes.

You might say that's a noble thing but you don't know war. The people who stayed behind in the cities where warned for weeks to leave if they weren't going to fight. By loudspeakers and leaflets dropped from aircraft.

These were enemy command complexes, lots and lots of tangos, and we were making sure they had plenty of food to bunker up and wait for their chance to hit us.

It's just not the way you fight a war to win, a you put your troops in danger when you drag out a conflict instead of letting your forces offensively and decisively take the fight to them properly.

Command and control, food and weapons supplies. That's how you attack an enemy first, always, if you want to win. You have to go for the jugular with precision and maximum force. Then you can wait and pick targets of opportunity. They have to attack, eventually, or they'll starve.

I could write novels on the experience. So many things could have been done so much better. We needed Patton.

For the amount of horror we inflicted, our losses were light, however. Don't tell me it cant happen here. For a force with mostly small arms, LMGs, RPGs, some mortars and explosives ability, the opposition we encountered had no answer to what we brought to them with a highly technical and terrifying array of weapons and intelligence gathering apparatus.

We in America today don't have any of that ability. We have small arms and a limited amount of ammunition with no way to resupply once the fighting begins. They'll shut down the factories, or place them under guard. That means we'll have to scavenge weapons and ammo from the enemy. Thats guerrilla warfare. Exactly what our military is geared to fight.

Our NVGs alone allowed us to dominate the night and pre dawn environments, not to mention a thermal capability. What's the answer for that, tactically? Can you see at night? Well our military and law enforcement damn sure can, and that's when they'll come for us.

As a man of war, I can tell you for absolutely certain that if the American Military truly ever attacked the American people, the people would have no chance, regardless of their numbers. One U.S. Army mechanized infantry battalion could decimate any force brought against them if they were unarmored with only light vehicles and small arms.

Masses of people with small arms, little ammo and no armor get chewed up on the battlefield with a quickness that would make you lose your lunch. The Apaches....they are death from above and to be feared above all things. Devastating weapon.

Sorry so long, felt like sharing and its time someone with real experience stepped in and got real with people on this topic. Lots of people think their towns, states and regions could stand toe to toe with our military, and those people are crazy.

I am against what our government is doing and should they ever have the nerve to actually try to disarm us or fight us, I will gladly stand against them, but to do so is to die if the U.S. military is our enemy. Hopefully some of the military would defect in that case and bring their gear, or we will have no chance whatsoever.
