Those guys will know what it is really like out there. The vast majority should be able to see if they agree with this driver. I still say there is epic contribuatory negligence by Ward walking out there on a short track, wearing black, in questionable lighting. If the car is not a death trap they should have to stay inside as long as it is safe to do so. They should make it the rule and have a requirement that safety crews escort the driver off the track. |

I think that some will agree, and some won't - unfortunately, that's just human nature. Seems as if Cory Sparks was in a pretty good position to see it happen, though. And, like he said - the videos online don't give an accurate picture. Would love to be able to actually SEE the full interview, but don't have Time-Warner Cable... In other parts of the article, Cory DOES speak about the black racing uniform, etc. And I believe, most of the tracks have ALREADY changed the rule about staying in the car. Thank God!
