Quoting: Anonymous Coward 38889649 kudos. i farm, but have no taste for honey, ever. the only form of sugar i kind of like is maple. of which i have 600+ taps. i do encourage other pollinators in my orchard..... I have Thought about taps before, but damn it takes so many gallons just to make one jar. I know you have a lot of work in doing that. good job. Last Edited by A.R.T. on 08/12/2014 12:34 AM |

Climb or chop down a tree with a nest of african bees and just walk up and grab the nest. They do try and smoke it a bit but man they are covered in bees getting stung and show no sign of pain at all. They bring the honey back and everybody is ecstatic they get something other than blood and milk. Tough ass blood warriors |

We kept honeybees when we lived in the Seattle area, I was the beekeeper, but not a very good one. You look really pro though. Our honey man here had a shed fire and lost a lot of his equipment, and is slowly building up again. Miss those gallon jugs of pure, sweet honey he was selling us. ************************************************************************ Corruptisima re publica plurimae leges. ~ Terence |

I also work for a local beekeeper (office manager) and it's pretty interesting to watch the harvest. We sell a few things but it's mostly commercial. |

The other is doing fantastic and the Garden production was way up this year. We do not learn from history because our studies are brief and prejudiced. In a surprising manner, 250 years emerges as the average length of national greatness. This average has not varied for 3,000years. The stages of the rise and fall of great nations seem to be: The Age of Pioneers , The Age of Conquests ,The Age of Commerce ,The Age of Affluence ,The Age of Intellect ,The Age of Decadence. Decadence is marked by: Defensiveness, Pessimism, Materialism,Frivolity An influx of foreigners The Welfare State A weakening of religion. Decadence is due to: Too long a period of wealth and power, Selfishness Love of money ,The loss of a sense of duty. The life histories of great states are amazingly similar, and are due to internal factors. Their falls are diverse, because they are largely the result of external causes. - Sir John Glubb The Fate of Empires We are at the end of the Age of Decadence heading into COLLAPSE |
