It does give a good account of the wickedness of Men. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. If god was all powerful why couldn't he take them out himself instead of requiring a soul sacrifice? The law, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Sin requires a sacrifice. He's not being mean. Its just what it is. Would he have sent His Son to die for us if He didn't have too? Its the law of thermodynamics really. A law that made this all possible. |

Think about it. Laws are written in stone. If they are not followed it messes things up for the worse. Traffic laws?? If not enforced think of what a mess and harm it would be on the highways. The much, much bigger picture of life is no different. |

Just you...tales of a God having his followers kill tens of thousands of others who exercised free will doesn't speak well of a "Great God" or man doing his bidding...other than that is a fairly boring book of one author after another repeating the same tale or twisting natural events to causal factors from a God. All cultures have looked for some God(s) or spirits in charge of what we are not...very human. |
