Brooklyn Bridge Flag Update 8/8 - Persons of Interest

They probably should be looking for the person who made the flag in places like on etsy and at the brooklyn flea.

I CANT believe they cannot differentiate between ONE flag that was BLEACHED/FADED OUT and the other INVERTED....

Can you tell us the difference. I've read this on several places and can't tell the difference. TIA

This was not the work of kids. This was a message. A loud and very public message. And whomever would go to such lengths to deliver this message would have to be determined and committed to their cause. It was also clearly the work of more than one such person. Mark my words, more will undoubtedly come of this. The question is what and when?

One flag was faded....like if you threw it in a washing machine with bleach....the red and blue just kind of turned grey, and the white stayed the same....

The OTHER flag was an inversion (think X-ray)...so the WHITE Stripes were darkened (grey?), the blue was white, and the stars were blue/grey.....I will try and post pics again

THIS flag is the inverted one....notice the blue stars....the stripe pattern is also out of order (hence the inverting)

Thank you for explaining instead of calling me stupid. I sincerely appreciate your patience and I understand now.

It hasn't been mentioned in the media since and the regular American flags are back on the bridge.

What are your thoughts of what persons or group might have done this?

I only call people stupid when they deserve to be called stupid LOL...

I actually have NO idea.....I always joke when I say that you cannot fart in NYC without it being picked up on some type of camera, sensor, etc....I am still flabbergasted that people were able to pull this off....

People got into the Freedom Tower (base jumper and a teen) - that was concerning, but heck, it was one/two people concealed....two flags being replaced though....totally different gig

When this occurred I remember looking at a lot of flags.

I googled flags with red, white and blue in them. There are a lot of flags but the one that stood out was the liberian flag, it looks a lot like our flag.

which would make sense as Liberia is the only American colony in Africa.

Didn't know that. There are a lot of liberians in brooklyn and staten island, nice people.

A lot of Russians, Georgians (cant confuse one for the other! BIG division there! LOL) in Brooklyn too....

Brooklyn is the world in one borough. The russians in brooklyn make the mothers and fathers italian association look like little kids.

I think it's a message that America is gone... fading away to nothing culturally and financially.

Obviously this was done by someone with money. They wouldn't know where to get a cheap flag made so they went to their tailor (Someone who they knew and could trust) and said make me some flags.

This was done by a member of the elite on orders from higher up the ladder. IMO

But why? For what purpose? If we can't figure out what they were trying to say then the incident sort of failed?
