Christ died for ALL humans, it is up to individuals now to respond and show appreciation

Revelation mentions "a great crowd which no man was able to number" who will have gained salvation

Imagine being one of the 144,000. Residing in Heaven with Jesus. Ruling over all the Earth. A Perfect existence where superior people can enjoy the fruits of their superiority.

While on the Earth, there is work to be done.

The whole point of them ruling over the earth, is YES, there is work to be done here, and the 144,000 and Christ as King will work hard to bring the earth and it's inhabitants back to the perfect harmony that was God's original purpose

Speaking about spiritual things is not solicitation in any form, it is conversation and sharing of knowledge-

So when you go up to peoples' homes and knock on their doors, are you there to sincerely learn about their preexisting beliefs about 'spiritual things' - and are you there to try to understand their current ideology? Or are you trying to sell the Jehova's Witness ideology?

So you go there with the intent of a one-way dialogue where you are the one trying to get the other party to subscribe to your beliefs... You don't knock on doors to listen to other people try to sell you on theirs...

If you were actually interested in 'sharing knowledge' then you would demonstrate an interest in learning the 'knowledge' of the other parties that you encounter - but you're not....

Well, sincerely, if someone wanted to "sell me on their beliefs", as you say, then I would expect them to knock on my door, as it takes imitative and action and courage to do such

If I didn't feel I had something of truth to share, I would not bother

Would Christ have sent his disciples out to preach, had they not had substance to the message?

Ive had many conversations over the years, and yes, have found out what and where and why they believe the way they do

But Christ commission was that people needed to hear the solution that HE and Jehovah provide, and as such, that is what I do

I'm going to create some pamphlets containing elements of spiritual wisdom found in some of the Eastern religions/philosophies.... When The JW's ring my doorball, I'll greet them at the door with my pamphlets and tell them how happy I am that they came by to hear the 'good news'... Then I'll do all the talking... We'll see how long they stick around for after getting a taste of their own medicine.

So you show up at their door and you're not permitted to listen to them using that opportunity to take 'action' to speak to you about their beliefs and why you should consider them?



See you really don't want to listen and actually open your mind to anyone else's beliefs and ideology - because you've already convinced yourself that you hold the only truth. You're there for one-way dialogue only.

How do you know what study I have done over my life to reach any conclusion I have reached?

I didn't say anything about your studies. I said JW's approach people with the intention of selling them on their Jehova's Witness beliefs - which is very structured/organized. They are not there to listen to different beliefs/ideologies and to contemplate them with an open mind. They don't ring doorbells and say, "Hey can you tell us all about your personal beliefs, we'd like to listen and consider them".... The nature of the intention of the interaction is a one-way dialogue. You're selling something and not interesting in buying into what anyone else is selling...

Please tell me here where I've mischaracterized what takes place?

Yes, Jehovah's Witnesses have a specific message, true, but it is not for sale

If people don't want to listen, we leave, it is that easy

Again, if someone has something they want to teach, they can knock on my door, in fact, Mormons have a few times- and sales people and that kind of stuff

I prefer answering my door balls ass naked, followed by the chanting/singing of "Satan, Satan, he's our man, if he can't possess you no one can....goooooooo! Demons."

That explains seeing a couple of them in my neighborhood today.....

And when Mormons knock on your door do you stand there contemplating if you should consider accepting and converting to the Mormon faith? Or do you already feel content with your preexisting belief system / ideology that you adopted under your own volition?

When you understand the psychology of your own thought-process when others are trying to sell you on their ideology - you will accept that the vast majority of people have no interest in individuals knocking on their door advertising beliefs/ideologies.

Yes I could come knock on your door and start telling you about my spiritual beliefs. You might even be polite to me - but you and I BOTH know that there's zero chance of you accepting and internalizing anything I've told you unless it conforms to the JW ideology. You have closed your mind off to any 'outside' beliefs - but you expect others to open their mind to yours when you're doing the advertising?

Please note I'm not pointing the finger at you for doing anything wrong. I'm just trying to explain to you why people by nature are not receptive to religious recruitment. It's for the same reason that you are not receptive to others giving you the same treatment. When you understand your own inclinations and tendencies - you should be able to extend and apply that understanding onto others... If you yourself are not looking to internalize MY beliefs - why do you hold the expectation that others would be open to internalizing YOURS?
