I was wondering how many new laws are established each year. Does more law equate to more freedom, or loss of liberty? If I have to abide by, lets just say, a million laws, will my grandchildren have to abide by a billion? Where does it end? I look at celebrity trials, and see how the rich and famous can escape justice, while the underpriviledged do not seem to get a fair shake. The whole thing is just corrupt. It is hard to have faith anymore.

From some years ago in the Southern Hemisphere, . . . I remember well and fondly a certain unit to which I belonged. We were very much a 'team.'

On the battlefields of that other place and time, one of our most basic 'Rules' was this :

'Soldiers in pairs. Look after each other.'

A 'team' has many advantages.

In the Stateside context at present, I miss the 'team' advantages.

Especially because, in stark contrast, I now find myself in the role of 'last defender.'
