Through out history as far back as cave dwellers around 10,000 BC men have drawn, painted or carved pictures of flying men. People in every corner of the world from Egypt to Asia to Europe. These people obviously saw flying machines. (UFO) To these people who were still living in the dark ages all the way back to before the invention of the wheel, these flying people were gods. And quite possibly these flying beings interacted with man. We have many example of unexplained marvels all over the earth. Aliens (God) would be that explanation.

I do not discount that... in fact, that theory seems more plausible than belief in an invisible deity...

Unfortunately there's nothing that can be done unless you elliminate the generational propogation of the ideology. This would be very hard, the largest institutions in the world such as the vatican and Muslim whatevertheyhave aren't about to relinguish control of the money and power the ideology affords them. Find your own way and try not to plant the seed of any religion in a young mind, teach critical thinking and let them find their own way too. As the culture evolves, I'm confident they'll question the merit of unprovable ideologies. I just can't figure out why it's taking so long although things have slowly been turning in the last decade.

The point in all life is to evolve to its highest potential state, that's the question you animals should be seeking an answer to.

Atheists & Theists have something in common - they both arrive at a point in their beliefs where something is claimed to exist from nothing that preceded it - from no prior cause. The Atheists stop at the known Universe, the Theists stop at an anthropomorphic, personified 'deity'. Both groups claim that something exists with no explainable cause that gave rise to it.

The human mind cannot comprehend how something can exist without being created by a prior cause. This applies to both the Universe and any claimed 'God'.

Best bet is to concede that you don't know - that it's a mystery...
