She is last seen on screen at one minute 40 seconds and the rest of the film is close-up shots of Tom Cruise and Nichole Kidman. There isn't a hint that Helena is abducted, I don't get it.

Kubrick completely figured out the illuminati, and he blew the whistle, while predicting his own death, putting it all on Film. This is the work of a great man.

If you think the movie is about a secret society sex cult you are wrong. If you think its only about about marriage and infidelity you are only seeing 0.1% of the story.

The actual story is beautiful. It's a blue print, a modern day bible and guide book for those who are awake enough to read it.

I don't agree with you. I don't think Eyes Wide Shut glorified evil, I think it gave people an honest look at it.

The Tom Cruise character is portrayed as a good man with good intentions that is tempted by evil. He makes bad choices that potentially ruin his life.

On the surface, I see lame dialogue, a weak detective story, and vanilla sex. The "Illuminati" stuff isn't any revelation, anyone who does any real research on the Skull and Bones society at Yale will quickly find far creepier and scarier stuff than anything in Eyes Wide Shut.

On a symbolic level, I think there is a lot of meaning but I don't see anything sick there either.

“2001” prompted me to watch “Clockwork Orange” what a mistake. Makes a person feel dead inside.

Actually after I posted the question asking you, there is one thing that I would call sick and that's the manager of the costume shop pimping his daughter. But, we never see her engaged in sex (she's always clothed so there's no evidence she was even having sex at all) and that whole thing could have been another test/trap for the Tom Cruise character. With this kind of movie, we can question if that was even the man's daughter at all. I can't think of anything else I'd call sick.

Like I said. I would have to watch it again. That’s not going to happen. I remember enough to know that. I mostly I remember how I felt inside when I saw it. Like Clockwork Orange. Both are sick and twisted. That's all I've got.

Ok can you people please explain to me why so many think sex is evil? I for one think it's a very enjoyable activity!

I absolutely understand why hate, violence, murder, theft, kidnapping, treachery and that sort of stuff are evil, but I cannot possibly understand why some would put sex in the same category.

Of course, it's not cool to cheat on your spouse/gf/bf, but if your partner is ok with an open relationship then I don't consider it to be adultery any more, since there is no broken trust. Thoughts?
