Strange things happen when I pack to move. Ghosts? Help!
It seems as though every time I am packing to move strange things happen around my house.

The first noticeable time was when I was packing my home up from Florida to move to Nebraska. I had just gotten back into town from a trip to Nebraska to find a home to rent, it was about 11pm when I got back into town. I was tired from the 22 hour drive and just went straight into my bedroom to pass out. My cousin was with me in bed (both females) and we had been laying in bed for about 15 minutes. Mind you the house was silent with the exception of my bathroon vent fan, as we didn't turn on anything, just went straight to bed. She asked if I heard the bass sound coming from downstairs. I told her it was my fan and to go to sleep. She insisted it wasn't so I got up to turn the fan off to show her it was nothing.

I turned off the fan and immediately laughed. It was music playing. The song "Stay just a little bit longer" by The Temptations. I was so tired I forgot we didn't turn anything on. I was like oh its my stereo. I looked at her, and her face was frozen in horror. It took me a minute before it dawned on me, we weren't alone. My mind went immediately to an intruder since I hadn't been home in a month. The next song that played was "Magic Carpet Ride" by Steppinwolfe. We just sat there in silence, afraid to make any noise. As soon as that song was over the first song played again. It was a loop of the two songs over and over for about 15 minutes. We just sat there. I was shaking and called my best friend whose husband was a police officer and whispered for him to get over here, he lived about 2 blocks away.

When he got to my house he walked in the front door and I could hear him going from room to room and when he got to my bedroom he found my cousin and I frozen on the bed. He said there was no one in the house but my stereo was going full blast in my dining room. Mind you I lived on a Military base and it was the safest place to be, and my doors were all locked after I got home. His wife had a key. We went downstairs and I unplugged my stereo, which continued to play for about 20 seconds after I unplugged it. I didn't stay in that home for the rest of the week as I packed my belongings, and felt extremely uneasy as I packed.

The second noticeable strange occurrence was when I was packing my things to move from Nebraska to Germany. My bedroom was in my basement and the room next to mine was the laundry room. I had just spent the entire day packing and was exhausted. I went straight to bed and was the only one in the house. As I was laying there, I could hear my dryer door open. It has a distinct sound... I just laid there thinking i misheard it. A few seconds later it slammed close. I got up and went into the room and no one was there. So I laid back down telling myself I was imagining things. A few minutes later I could hear someone walking upstairs in my living room. So I got up thinking a friend had just let herself into my house. I went upstairs and no one was there. By this time I was extremely exhausted and just wanted to sleep. So I laid down on my couch and said fuck it, might as well sleep up here since I'm going nuts down there.

As I was laying there about to fall asleep, sleep paralysis took over. I am narcoleptic and this is a common occurrence to me when I am stressed out. I just laid there unable to move while I saw a man walking through my living room towards me and sat on my chest. ( this is common for me to imagine as I am having an episode.)

The next morning after I awoke from a strange dream of someone knocking on my door asking to be let in, and I wouldn't let him in and he got angry and screamed at me. I didn't stay in that house again as I packed. I stayed with my Mother.

The next time strange things happened I was packing my belongings from the Barracks in Germany (on an Army base) to move back to Nebraska yet again. I wasnt alone in the house this time. My (now ex)husband was there with me and our 2 children. We had spent the entire day watching movers pack our things and just had our loaner furniture delivered so we could ship our belongings back early. Every night for 3 weeks while we were in our apartment we could hear boots going up and down the hallway. My cat Simon wouldnt leave my side for those 3 weeks. He was constantly stressed out and puffed up and looking this way and that. He slept with me, huddled up against me every single night. This was not normal for him as he usually loved free roam of the house while we slept. Poor fella was back to normal when we got back to Nebraska.

And now.... I am packing up my things to move out of my current home again. I am moving 2 hours away. I just packed a box of my knick knacks from my curio cabinet in my dining room and went into my living room to take a break (I saw a spider and had to walk away before I got itchy) So I am sitting in my living room, my daughter is with me playing on her xbox and my son is upstairs in his room. My cats are upstairs sleeping on my bed. My daughter and I hear a crash and just sat here looking at each other trying to figure out what just happened. I walk into my dining room and 3 of the 6 chairs that go to my table are laying on their side on the ground.

There was no one in the room to do that, and they are heavy chairs that don't just fall over. WHY? Why do weird unexplainable things happen whenever I am making a move? Id really like to not be afraid of my home. My oldest cat is now pacing my upstairs meowing as loud and insistent as he can.

I am sure if you have read through all of this you think I am either crazy, or making it up. That's OK. But for those that have any sort of experience in this matter, could you chime in and tell me whats going on? I'm just tired of having to pay for a hotel every time I pack my things up.

Yep.
One or more are following you OP.

You need to get that taken care of.
Call a local paranormal group so they can put you in touch with a priest, shaman or witch/warlock to resolve the issue.
They will know what to do and who to suggest for your specific problem.

What would the lambs blood do other than make my family look like psychopaths in my new neighborhood? No offense, it's just odd to see blood on a white door.

This has happened to me since I was a child. My sleep paralysis always has an intruder of some sort who either stands at the side of my bed whispering horrible things to me or sits on my chest. My doctor has explained it away to me saying it's my brain in hyper vigilance mode making up a worst case scenario while my body is asleep.

Could have been worse. At least you didn't walk down your hall, in the dark, and a decaying headless walking corpse suddenly wrapped it's fingers around your neck as you screamed and all sanity began to leave your mind.

I know. I am quite used to them happening. I will never be fully comfortable with it as they are disturbing, but I don't think they are supernatural. Just an annoying pest... Much like my sleep attacks that always happen when I am laughing really hard.

You say you're narcoleptic, and this and "hard laughing" is related with brain's oxygenation, and this with hallucinations and oneiric visións or simply dreams. Anyway, you're talking too about somehow weird "events" being with another persons, witnessing the odd situation...

I think I may be misunderstanding what you are talking about. Yes I am narcoleptic, and I have sleep paralysis. I dont think they are supernatural. Yes, I am posting about something that may or may not be, and its a very big annoyance to me and completely unexplainable.

When I was younger before I was diagnosed with my sleep disorder, I literally thought I was going nuts. I was afraid to tell anyone what was happening to me at night, and was terrified. Now that I have gotten answers for that part of my sleep problems I feel much safer at night, and would rather not think they were anything but my brain being unable to regulate itself while I am sleeping. I am just clarifying that to you. I do think scientifically about what happens to my body as it is doing that. Its just an easier way of explaining it to myself so I am not terrified when it happens. If it ever happened to you, youd be terrified too if someone was whispering in your ear that they would kill you and your family, or anything else of a vile nature.

talk to a friend or other trusted person about it, either someone with a religious or paranormal background, or a friend you feel is able to sense what you sense.

Scary for sure. Especially that first time.

Hard to reason with people who have not experienced things like this.

I do know a woman who had moved into a house that had a ghost. When she moved, the ghost indicated it wanted to stay in the house. Not move with her.

Every 2 years I have a MLST sleep study done. In every sleep study I have shown the signs of narcolepsy. I go into my REM sleep within 10 minutes of closing my eyes to sleep, and spend most of my sleeping hours in REM sleep. I do not regulate my sleep patterns as a "normal" person would. During the day I am always exhausted, and tend to have sleep attacks. I also have cataplexy which tends to come out if I am laughing really hard. I call them sleep attacks because I often look like I am sleeping but I am not. I am actually quite awake but I can not move. Its narcolepsy.

As for the sleep paralysis My doctors have told me they are common with narcoleptics. They offered me a drug to take to reduce them but I cant bring myself to take it. I would rather not take GHB.

Is it REALLY a sleep disorder?...or is that what the doctors have drilled in your head? 1dunno1
Think about it.

No harm in trying to rid your life and location of any ghosts or demons that are following you.
You have discussed classic symptoms of paranormal phenomenon.

Again...can't hurt to get a second opinion and BE SURE it is in no way paranormal related.

Sleep paralysis gets worse in stressful situations. Everybody knows that removals, movings, etc are very stressful events...
 Quoting: Inerrancia

I know. I am quite used to them happening. I will never be fully comfortable with it as they are disturbing, but I don't think they are supernatural. Just an annoying pest... Much like my sleep attacks that always happen when I am laughing really hard.

No clue what you are talking about. I'd just prefer to not deal with this mess every time I move. I'd also love to not be afraid of my own home.

Sleep paralysis doesn't cause stereos to turn on, doors being slammed, chairs knocked over, and your cat to be frightened.
Your problem is that you are in denial and not taking care of the real problem, a demon. Stop giving excuses.

According the classical "Possessions for Dummies", the first steps (opression, infestation) seem to have been done by whatever it was. The next step (possession) usually is preceded by some sort of tricky invitation using the weak victim's will (the dream about the guy claiming "let me in!"), but our friend's will seems to be on guard, even asleep. Actually we don't know the OP's conscious & subconscious personality of emotional charácter, personal story from childhood and true essential psychology. She says she's narcoleptic and suffers sleep paralysis' episodes. She seems to manage some amount of periodical stress by whatever. Maybe she is simply the focus of poltergeist activity being its epicenter her own psychic & emotional stress projected on her daily background under some kind of personal contexts... Go figure.

It seems more obvious she falls asleep watching "The Three Stooges" movies... If she's driving, just don't make her laugh... hf
