If find it annoying and antiquated that "reporters" on TV and radio news have to always state their name when doing a story or talking about the traffic and weather. First of all, your name is on the graphic EVERY time we see you and secondly, who cares what your name is? !!
I stopped watching TV news years ago but on the few occasions that I do, I can't believe how each story has to introduced with the name of the reporter, only to have them mention it again at the end. Why? Who Cares what your name is?... just give us the facts and get on to the next story!
When I'm driving in the morning, I get so tired of hearing the guy doing the traffic report every 10 minutes saying his name. It's so repetitious and annoying.
In this day when most get their news from services via web or data notifications, it seems so silly to have people always stating their name. People want the story, and then move on!
I can't believe that news services haven't figured out how to be more relevant with todays speed of information and drop the whole "say you name before you start your story and say it again when you're at the end of your story". It's so last decade.
Sorry for my rant... anyone else feel this way?
