Pope Francis described as "dangerous" the temptation to believe that one can have "a personal, direct, immediate relationship with Jesus Christ without communion with and the mediation of the church." [link to www.wucnews.com] I have a personal and direct relationship with Jesus Christ, my Lord, and my Savior. I am saved by grace through faith and that, not of my own, it is a gift of God. I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord. Pope can go jump a rope. |

Amen. I am saved by the Blood of the Lamb of God Who has paid my sin debt. May His holy Name be praised: Jesus Christ of Nazareth, born in Bethlehem to Mary and Joseph, crucified, dead, and buried. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. The gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few." The Pope probably meant that "catholic" means universal and pertains to the universal Church and the Church is the body of Catholics that make it up. He probably also mentioned that receiving the Sacraments, particularly the body and blood of Christ in the Eucharist is an integral part of Catholicism and that is done at a Mass with fellow Catholics. So cafeteria Catholics who think they can maintain their relationship with Christ by not going to mass and communing with other Catholics are missing out a lot. |

Quoting: Donkey Jaw His "succession" is built on a lie, paved by heretics, satanists, pedophiles, murderers and specifically, murderers and torturers of Christians who would not succumb to their pagan doctrine. This is not surprising but just after the Islamic prayers in his "church" made of gold and declaration that Atheists and everyone can get to Heaven w/o Christ (Jesus said "I am the Way the Truth And the Life. NO MAN COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT BY ME.") tells me the timing is too perfect. I see this going downhill for us "free-agents" in the next few years. Even so, Maranatha and God's will be done. They claim you can work your way to heaven with endless rosaries when God said to not indulge in endless repetitions like the pagan do. Government is a body largely ungoverned. |

Pope Francis described as "dangerous" the temptation to believe that one can have "a personal, direct, immediate relationship with Jesus Christ without communion with and the mediation of the church." [link to www.wucnews.com] "Obviously, he said, it is not always easy to walk the path of faith with other people. "Sometimes it's tiring. It can happen that a brother or sister creates problems for us or scandalizes us, but the Lord entrusted his message of salvation to human beings, to us, to witnesses," he said. "It is through our brothers and sisters with their gifts and their limits," the pope said, "that he comes to us and makes himself known. This is what belonging to the church means. Remember: Being Christian means belonging to the church. If your first name is Christian, your last name is Member of the Church." At the end of his talk, the pope asked people to join him in praying that they would never "give into the temptation of thinking you can do without others, without the church, that you can save yourself, of thinking you can be a laboratory Christian. Christians, he said, are not manufactured in isolation, but belong to a long line of believers who handed on the faith and challenged one another to live it fully." I totally agree!
