Is the Bible book of John authentic?

Here's something unique about the book of John, it's not part of the synotic gospels.

The synotic gospels are composed of Mathew, Mark, and Luke.

These three gospels, have a tremendous amount of information that overlap, that's why it's called this:

However the book of John is fairly unique to these 3 gospels. It's written later than these three books, and also of these three books, it states that the Word / Jesus is God.

There are verses that show Jesus and God are separate, but other verses show they're the same, like in John.


So are we certain this book is authentic? If not, it would resolve this contradiction, and show that Jesus and God are separate.

Also let's assume tomorrow, a group of Christians all decided which books today are the authentic words of God, and which books are frauds.

Would you believe them 100%, or would you question it?

You would question it, so likewise why don't we question if the right decision was made in the Council of Nicea, when the Bible was canonized.

Also consider this, the protestants, Catholics, and orthodox don't have the exact same books in their Bible canon. This further makes one question, if the "official" canon is correct.


Regardless, on judgement day, I think God and Jesus, will be much more concerned about whether we loved and help others.
