In most states, people have just as much legal right to be the issuer of a traffic citation/violation as police do. The truck driver could have demanded the officer give him a blank ticket and his drivers license and cited the officer for the offenses he witnessed.

He then could have gone to the trial and testified against the officer. People have just as much arrest power as cops do, with the acception of serving warrants.

We just had a cop pass away in the Line of Duty here in Indiana (Tipton County police) by not wearing his seatbelt during a "single vehicle" accident (ie crashed his own ass)

So this takes the nations "Line of Duty" cop deaths to 68 for the year because this cop to broke the law? Actually only 22 of these LOD deaths have been by guns but they make such a big deal about these cops dying "on duty" (most are accidents, of which any profession has). I can pretty much guarantee there have been more "farmer LOD deaths" so far this year than there will be cop deaths in 2014.

I am so sick of any cop being above my rights. If they can ticket me and then do the same crime (speeding) pisses me off. I understand I don't get a ticket every time I go 2 mph over the speed limit. What I don't understand is how one of them can fly past me at 90+ on the road and pass another cop going opposite direction running radar and nothing happens, yet that cop would ticket me.
