The mother can't mourn her own child because vans of reporters won't leave her house. People call and knock and will not leave her alone.

I was younger than that, and after hernia surgery, I was in a crib in the hallway of the hospital, and as my father walked around the corner, I stood up, pointed at him and yelled out "There's my Daddy!"

My youngest is almost two, she will scream her ass off if you leave her alone for more than a minute. How did no one notice this kid was in the car? Did he park as far away from everything as possible?

Been thinking lately that they need to expand that law that says if you give birth you can drop the baby at any fire station or police station, no questions asked.

Maybe they have to expand that to "you can drop any child at any fire or police station".

Story didn't make any sense. If someone was expecting to receive the child for care, I think they said it was the grandmother, then why didn't the grandmother call and ask "where's the kid"? or even if it was daycare why didn't they call and say "where's the kid?".

How do you know the dad didn't intentionally do this??

If he was googling how long it takes for animals to die in a car immediately before leaving his kid to die in a car, that would be a pretty big coincidence, wouldn't it?

I mean, if he had been recently researching the subject, it would be pretty difficult to forget his own child in the same situation.

There's a local case here in Utah involving a 4 month old whose father was charged with child abuse. The child had an extreme retinal hemorrhage and other signs of shaken baby syndrome, including decreased movement on one side of his body.

The baby apparently had been in the hospital at 2 months old with facial bruising that his father said had been caused by a fall from the bed.

In this incident that led to the father being charged, he supposedly found the baby not breathing and tried to resuscitate him, causing some trauma.

However, the baby had HEALING rib fractures.

The mom will argue that the baby has a condition that causes him to aspirate his saliva and a hereditary vitamin D deficiency that makes his bones extremely fragile.

Things that you would imagine doctors would take into consideration before involving DCFS.

We are talking about a 4 month old baby who, has sustained repeated injuries while in his father's exclusive care - broken ribs, hemorrhaging retinas, shaken baby syndrome - but the dad and the mom cry that it was all for the good of the child, despite his known delicate bones and his known tendency to aspirate his own saliva.

I have seen some pretty horrific examples of child abuse in my lifetime, generally at the hands of dads. But moms who enable dads to abuse their children, who make excuses and allow for their children to be mistreated are the lowest of the low.

We are their MOTHERS for fucks sake. I would kill and die for my babies, and there's no way in hell I would be standing by my man if I thought for a second he had hurt my child.

Don't discount the possibility of none of this even being real. Just saying.

There has been suspicion for some time that some parents who want to get rid of their kids have been taking advantage of the lenient sentences given to people who "forget" their kids in the car.

Making sure a full and complete investigation is done in every case can help spot those whose kids have lots of recently purchased accidental death insurance.

Despite the various viewpoints being expressed in this thread; I believe the FACT that the investigators/detectives found 'recent' searches on Harris's work computer BEFORE his child was left in the vehicle
re: length of time it takes an animal to expire in a hot vehicle; to be very incriminating. But that will not be enough evidence to prosecute this man of course, so we will wait with the rest of the world for them to uncover more evidence.

Whichever it is, Cooper is still gone, and we can only hope, as I stated earlier, that he will have JUSTICE. His life was taken from him. He deserves that much.

I do agree that those searches are not enough to prosecute.

However, those searches in combination with witnesses coming forward may be.

Whether this was negligence or a deliberate act of murder, this baby died most cruelly and there is no question WHO is responsible for that.

All of this talk about 'evidence' and 'witnesses' aside, I know that I am not the only 'empath' out there who can read eyes and body language and my own intuition with great accuracy.

The shot of this dad? It's not the shot of a grieving man, it's the shot of a GUILTY man. Look at his eyes.
