Can you recommend a good book on Magnetism? Alternative science, and something beyond the basics?

if you dont know algebra and functions in depth then this is not something you will understand

Exactly. The theory of magnetic materials is all about strongly correlated systems and the mathematics gets horrific even at an intermediate level. I've taught a 4th year university course in strongly correlated systems (magnetic and superconducting materials). I could spend an entire hour on going through a trivial demonstration calculation and the physics majors were really struggling with the topic.

The theory of electromagnetic fields with surface and volume integrals and serious partial differential equations are easy by comparison.

You need to have a strong background in statistical physics, quantum electronic structure and mathematical physics to get beyond the basics. To really get something out of the theory, you also require competence to crunch numbers on a computer. Only the most trivial cases in magnetic materials have closed form solutions and you need to solve them numerically.

Not sure what you mean by the basics, but in addition to Tesla, researching Maxwell, Faraday and Gauss will lead to some interesting seminal material in the field.

That is what I meant by the Basics. The stuff that we 've learnt in school.

If you have the determination and wherewithal to do Leedkalnin's 50 some experiments you will have more knowledge and understanding about how magnetism works than most people on the the planet. You will know what gravity is and what causes it (see Leedskalnin's experiments on acid, rubber, and glass). You will know the true structure of the atom and electricity and how the two are really connected. You could also get a book by william gilbert, the father of magnetism - still wrong, but Leedskalnin modeled a number of experiments after his.

There is only 4 books about magnetism that right and Leedskalnin wrote all of them to clarify where everyone else went wrong - hertz, faraday, maxwell, etc. including gilbert. Gilbert got closest though.

Why are you saying it is "still wrong" ?

"... the earliest known published work treating of both magnetism and electricity..." (from the translator's preface).

I wasn't able to devote adequate attention to this thread ... so I happened to stumble on it again after several weeks and I am impressed ! This first link alone is a treasure trove...

One of the books by Jason Verbelli appears to be a treatise about Goethe's color theory; which is very rare ! Rudolf Steiner was it's principal proponent and really brought it to the pubic in early 20th century.

Thanks for this link... and I guess the other links you gave will be equally interesting.

Principles of Magnetic Energy (PDF)

Magnetic Energy definition - Flowing Attract Energy, flowing or moving energy that flows in and out of nearly all energy systems and is magnetic in nature meaning that it generally moves by attract fields, it is attracted to its destination.

Magnetic energy is the glue that holds the Universe together. Magnetic Energy and Flowing Attract Energy are interchangeable terms.

*Please refer to the Magnetic Energy Terms document for more clarity on the terms being used in this document.

I. Magnetic Energy is a constant. Magnetic Energy or the Flowing Attract Energy throughout the Universe continually sustains existence as we know it.

II. Magnetic Energy starts neutral. The Flowing Attract Energy throughout the Universe is generally neutral in nature until it enters a system and goes to work using various polarities. Neutral Magnetic Energy flows through space, and it is part of the space/time fabric.

III. Magnetic Energy travels at a nearly infinite velocity. Magnetic Energy typically travels in and out of our present dimension at speeds far beyond light speed. Space ships powered and shielded by Magnetic Energy travel far beyond light speed. Quantum Mechanics experiments, especially those depicting instantaneous interactions at long distances, demonstrate the speed of Magnetic Energy.
