Since 9/11/2001 we have been off balance and afraid of made up terrorists and nonexistent bogeymen.

Since 2008 too many of us are kept off balance chasing enough dollars trying to make ends meet.

Since 2009 we've been afraid to eat seafood from the Gulf and wondering whether the BP disaster has forever affected the Gulf Stream and therefor all of the planet.

Since 2011 we've been wondering when the next shoe will drop from Fukushima.

Now in 2014 world war is threatening us through the shenanigans of Obama and Putin in Ukraine, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and Israel.

The people are too busy to notice and too busy making sure their children get to school and they get to work on time because there are so many unemployed people ready to step in if they're fired.

Prices keep rising and portions keep getting smaller while the dollar is worth less every year.

Our government is allowing thousands upon thousands of illegal foreigners to come into our country and take the few low paying jobs that are left.

Our government plans on filling our skies with over 30,000 drones by 2020.

The only real right we have left is the right to remain silent. Anything we say or do on the internet and phones is being stored on data server farms by our own government and can be used against us.

What can we do Old Timer?

Can we do anything to stop this mess?

I've seen those home videos of people with the flesh eating necrosis...big open, oozing sores all over their body and they are BEGGING & Sobbing for the govt to help them.

I believe alot of them were volunteers who helped clean up after the spill but I watched the vids of the horrifying sores until my nerves just couldn't watch anymore. A lot of those folks died.

I do not understand this. Reading what people are saying on here about catching fish with lesions and the cook in south Louisiana that sees diseased seafood--and I have seen pictures on the internet of them as well--but I live near the Gulf and everyone I know goes on vacations down there--to Biloxi, Panama City, Cajun country (Lafayette, La). They eat the seafood, go fishing, say everything is as normal as ever, and keep on going. I am the only person I know who refuses to eat Gulf seafood. And everyone seems just fine after their shrimp dinners.

I went on a brief trip down there last year, to Gulfport. The beach was dirty, dark, probably with oil, but there were people fishing off the pier and catching regular looking fish. (They have bacteria alerts all the time down there regardless of the oil spill, so I would not ever eat fish from off the pier, but I think some of those fishing people do. They looked healthy.)

I don't know what to think. My theory is that it doesn't matter what we do to our bodies, they are going to outsmart anything until and unless they don't and then it is over, sometimes painfully.

If this is true, then someone should be able to take samples from the spill and have it analyzed for this synthetic DNA watermarked bacteria. I find it hard to believe nobody found anything unusual like this in the samples that were taken.

If someone observed this bacteria in the lab you bet they would take keen interest in it.
