I had a moment with God, on my birthday.

I'm in Oakland, CA for work, for like three weeks. I have a rental car, but I am without my wife and kids. On my own for about 20 days. So, Saturday, the 7th, was my birthday. I needed to run some errands, so I ended up in San Leandro heading from the Walmart to the Costco that is basically across the street, if you know the area. I was turning left on a green arrow. To my right was two lanes turning right onto the freeway. When I got the green arrow to turn left, I was the first car, I lifted my foot off of the brake (automatic transmission) and before I could push down on the gas pedal......a voice said, 'stop! look!' I immediately glanced to the left and here comes a woman in a late model Cadillac.....She was FLYING...She hit the white line where she should have been stopped and was just then stomping on the brake. She successfully stopped about 3 feet from a car turning right away from her. No one got hurt. The person behind me stopped without hitting me too, as I did stomp back on the brake pedal. We ALL watched as this woman barreled into the intersection and amazingly didn't hit another car. If I had NOT looked I would have been exactly where her driver side front would have been, that would have nailed me in my driver side. I'm in like a teen tiny Mazda 2 hatchback (rental). I would have been either seriously injured or killed. I figure she would have hit me at a perfect impact angle at about 35mph. Wow. I got to Costco and called my wife. God warned me. Also, the woman driving the Cadillac, she was being watched also. I don't really know what else to say. This whole trip, I've felt protected.
