I dont see a problem here. I wish the cops here would come and knock on my door asking for information so I could point them to the thieving junky next door. Hell they can come on in and have dinner and wait to watch him sell drugs. Quoting: Gator! The only problem is when the thieving junky next door fingers you as major heroin distributor and they observe your ebay habits, show up with swat team a shoot every dog in the house. [link to abcnews.go.com] A 61-year-old man was shot to death by police while his wife was handcuffed in another room during a drug raid on the wrong house. Police admitted their mistake, saying faulty information from a drug informant contributed to the death of John Adams Wednesday night. They intended to raid the home next door. Raids go wrong. Often. He could do that any day, and other than the word of a junky they would have no reason to suspect that. And yea, sometimes they do raid the wrong houses, even more reason for me to positively identify him before hand. |

You will not see the jackboots busting heads in Compton or Detroit. These "visits" are going to be directed at Sally Jo Whitechick down at the trailer park, not the ghetto. Ghetto thugs were bred and trained for a purpose. They will be left alone to continue to terrorize. Meanwhile Joe Sixpack will have his home-defense shotgun and his $50 coin jar confiscated. |

Informants can provide specific information that is simply not available from other sources. However, the informants are often criminals themselves; if not properly managed, they can render a law enforcement investigation useless, destroy an agency’s credibility, and even endanger officers’ lives. To use confidential informants successfully, agencies must develop formal and sound informant control procedures. The War on Drugs makes for strange bedfellows. |

Quoting: Too Dark Park Sheriff John Rutherford, Mayor Alvin Brown and Councilwoman Denise Lee made the announcement this Tuesday at a press conference outside of the local Sheriff’s office. The sheriff admitted that many aspects of the program, including the security cameras, would be paid for with money that was taken from victims of the drug war. “We’re going to use the drug money we pull out of this neighborhood to protect this neighborhood,” Rutherford said. In addition to the aspects of the project which are being funded through asset forfeiture, the department is also asking for tax funding of over 3 million dollars for new officers. The stated goal of this program is to decrease violent crime, most of which is related to the drug trade. However, the violence of the drug war is a direct result of prohibition, and the best way to stop that violence is to end prohibition. Like that swat team sneak up and throw mini bombs into the children's beds, and then ransack the homes looking for all valuables and steal them and threaten to plant you with whatever they want if you don't let them? I mean they are pretty much evil incorporate in my view. The Devil tries to convince everyone he doesn't exist. The state tries to convince everyone they cannot resist. That poor family, their home burns down and then they get caught up in a drug raid that almost killed their baby :-( |
