Anyone notice the birds are very weird this year? What is going on?

Living in Ohio and have noticed something really strange with the birds. Growing up I always saw birds on the grass and in the trees but this year since they came back north they sit on the streets. They seem out of it and I couldn't tell you how many times a day while driving I almost hit them. They don't move out of the way until the very last second. Other times they are flying at bumper level.

The rabbits are doing the same thing as far as just sitting in the street and moving until the last possible seconds, as well as the squirrels. I have even had to go around them as they won't move.

What is going on with the animals/rodents? They seem retarded or soemthing.
