Anonymous Coward User ID: 58553021 United States 05/30/2014 10:48 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Living in Ohio and have noticed something really strange with the birds. Growing up I always saw birds on the grass and in the trees but this year since they came back north they sit on the streets. They seem out of it and I couldn't tell you how many times a day while driving I almost hit them. They don't move out of the way until the very last second. Other times they are flying at bumper level. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 52276035 The rabbits are doing the same thing as far as just sitting in the street and moving until the last possible seconds, as well as the squirrels. I have even had to go around them as they won't move. What is going on with the animals/rodents? They seem retarded or soemthing. its called Fukushima |

I'll try and find it now. it's as if they are blind to approaching vehicles until you are right on top of them. i feel silly having to slow down for a sparrow or pigeon on the road, but i can't go squashing them. |

So this evidently just came here to Ohio this season. Last year they were normal. Trust me, if they were like this last year I would have noticed. |

I've had to take the dog out around midnight or later a few times lately and I've heard birds chirping just like it was daytime---which I don't recall that being the case in the past. |

User ID: 23684754 United States 05/30/2014 12:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Birds here where I am are just weird in general. I have a hawk that is trying to tame itself down to the point I can pet it, not to mention the sparrows, blue jays and cardinals that land on me or on the table outside. They're not so much suicidal, just never this friendly. I've had more wild birds that are able to be touched, carried or wanting to sit on me then in in all the years combined. |

User ID: 40317877 United States 05/30/2014 12:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I will say; I had a robin build a nest on porch railing- where someone would put their hands. It was near the ground (obviously) and not safe for her. She had 3 eggs. Then, one day last week, she and all eggs were gone. Something had obviously gotten her when I wasn't around. I have never seen a robin build a nest in such an illogical/ unsafe place. Last Edited by ladulce on 05/30/2014 12:15 PM |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 52276035 United States 05/30/2014 02:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Just got home from work and in my short drive home had 3 dive in front of my car and one almost hit the roof/side window of the car in front of me. No question the birds are as nutty as the people now. Is it really due to Fuku? I can't tell you the last time I actually felt good or woke up in the morning feeling refreshed. Feel awful most of the time. Surely it has to be slowly killing us and the animals? |
