The "Record Keeper" is not happy. Thought he had it made, but thanks to some wise helpers he was turned away and over. Spinning in his own mess through eternity while we clean up the mess he made. Some of those records, lol, possibly most of them were full of lies and made up stories that never happened. The Record Keeper himself did not even know what was real and what was not anymore. I think you're missing the point OP.

The albums themselves weren't skipping, it was the physical representation of a time rift...whereby the music continued to play in a parallel time slice. In that slice, the other was experiencing the same phenomena except in a mirror, or repeating pattern.

Only by repairing the time rift would the needle be predisposed to continuing on its pre-ordained journey.

That is the difficulty of modern orthodoxy...explaining even the simplest concept to man-apes
