Another friggin' dog/cat food alert.
Although I don't give my pet much 'over the counter' dog food, I do get emails regarding alerts. So here.

May 14, 2014 — Bravo of Manchester, CT is recalling select lots of Bravo Pet Food because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

Listeria is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems.

Do you know of any good 'chewy' snack treat recipes that are nutritional?

Do you think cops now own pet food factories and are behind this killing of pets?

I used to make some treats but don't have the recipe. You could run a search on homemade dog treat recipes. It contained peanut butter and flour I remember.

I used to make them for my Carb Cocker. He loved 'em. He lived to be about 17.

If you live near a real butcher shop, get the waste and feed your dog RAW MEAT.

It's the best thing for them.

I think one should assume all food is compromised. Just like others have suggested, growing and making your own is the way to go. I'm not there yet.

You don't have to make anything for a treat. Just give them a bit of people food, i.e meat, cheese. For cats and dogs.

I do that too. My dog loves a bit of cheese, and she gets part of my scrambled eggs, and other stuff.

Sounds good.

My dog, however, would reject that parsley. I have, I'm afraid, really spoiled her. One day we had a 'showdown'. She had been eating people food on and off; I gave her some of her wet dog food; she waited all day long til supper to see what I was having before she would consider eating the dog food. Who won the showdown? In part two. Heh.

TRUTH.. it's stranger than FICTION..

to be sure we are on the same "page" we must first be in the same BOOK

“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. The gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few." Matthew 7:13-14

Talking about spoiled dogs ...

My oldest dog (5-6) will actually eat bananas.
Anything she watches us eat, she'll eat as well.

Carrots, broccoli, you name it.

Raw foods are great for dogs I'm told. Raw green beans are a nice little chewable. My dog likes cooked green beans because she's French and very special. hahaha
