Seems he was outside with his dog off lease. sometimes dogs escape from back yards or slip the leash. its no excuse though if it was a vicious dog and had shown previous aggression then it should be watched at all times. Its very possible that the dog had never shown any sign of aggression before and just snapped or was unwell. some animals are just like humans. you can get good ones and can get horrible bastards that just want to attack everything they see no matter what kind of upbringing they have had. |

So true, but apparently this 'dog' is going for the 'needle' and as I have mentioned to some reactions on here. What about extending this to the so called 'elite'! because they seem to attack for no reason and bit us. |

I wonder what level of thought process is there for different animals in terms of protecting their owners. Dogs it seems common but this obviously shows a thought process (or some degree of instinct) from the cat which is obviously not common. I have a hard time convincing my wife that animals don't think like humans and don't have "emotions" as we would think of them or as Hollywood portrays. cool vid |

So, in a sense would not like to give a judgement! |

"Who shall I send, and who will go for us?' And I replied, 'Here am I. Send me..." For I have not given up on my country, so may my country not give up on me. semper fucking fi. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 40645994 You would have thought the lady would have thrown that small child over her shoulders and taken off with him held up high. Didn't understand that. Please please READ the thread. the mother chased the dog away and got bit herself. Lots on here saying same thing. Read the thread Ready and Waiting |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 58018723 United States 05/14/2014 08:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | BAKERSFIELD - A cat came to her best friend's rescue Tuesday when the young boy was attacked in his driveway in Southwest Bakersfield. Quoting: Too Dark Park The surveillance video shows the boy playing on his bicycle when a dog sneaks up behind him and grabs his leg. The family's cat, named Tara, rushes the attacking dog and chased it away. Video at link: [link to www.theindychannel.com] Cats Rule!!! That dog drooled! My dog, a Great Pyrennes, is name Tara. My old outside kitty boxed her face when she got too frisky wanting to play. Funniest thing I ever saw. They really do love each other though. Sleep side by side, etc. The most fascinating thing about this whole video is that animals can and do protect their own. That cat recognized danger to its human and did what it could to rescue the child. One thing I have noticed with all my years of interaction with my pets(cats, dogs, birds, hamsters, etc.) is that they are really not as dumb and tuned out as some of us think they are. They are very aware. They know. So, don't be cruel. |

Not that the cat wasn't doing a fine job !!! Praise to the cat ! but it looked like the mother ran off for help leaving the cat to protect the kid. Kudos to the cat !!!! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 58008985 Singapore 05/14/2014 09:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Maybe it's just me, but that dog seemed a bit predatory in seeking that kid out and attacking like that... Quoting: Too Dark Park I agree. As much as I love animals, I think this dog should be put down. There was no provocation on the child's part. It looks like the dog was on the hunt, and found it's prey.Gut feeling tells me this dog will attack again. As for the cat, there is no doubt that he saved the child from further injury or even death. This cat should be eating premium cat food, salmon, or whatever it likes the best, for the rest of it's life. Hero Kitty !!! Bullshit... leave the dog alone. Dogs bite. Where the fuck was the adult supervision of the child? The parent should be "put down." |

Nothing "funny" about it. No conspiracy here. |

Put the child in the car at least, she could chase it right back to the fresh meal on the ground. [/ I just read that the mother went to chase the dog away again and it bit her, too. Looks like another child to me. Maybe his older sister? |
