Tornado on the ground a few miles away from me, was out in the yard watching the rotation in the clouds after a cell passed and knew something would pop out.

Thank you my friend! Yes, my daughter and I are OK, thank you! There are a few branches down and we didn't get power back until around 3:00 AM. But we were pretty fortunate. This was 10 blocks away:

[link to www.jrn.com]

From what I read this morning, there was mostly damage due to fires from lightning in the immediate area. Just west of here, they weren't so lucky.

I sure hope everyone is safe!

We are under the gun again today.
We went out this morning to check on the storm damage over here. We are not too bad, a couple of shingles and a small piece of siding, but my daughters roof was really messed up bad. Her roof is a lot older than ours, and it took a beating. There are shingles off from one end of the roof to the other. She is going to call a roofer and her insurance company. So far, she has no leaks, but we have more heavy duty storms expected to come through here this afternoon and evening.
A lot of our streets were flooded out. A family had to be rescued from their car by raft, after it got stuck in the flood waters on 165th street. nwitimes.com
