I'll be in the park today and tomorrow - where should I go? One day I hope to have the time to go...maybe even take the kids, but it will probably blow up before I get the chance...although the oldest is 21 this month and already out of the nest, the 17 year old is so busy with football workouts, picking up extra shifts, and his girlfriend that I can't catch up to him most days, and the 14 year old has me always on move between bowling, movie theater, and coaster parks, I will go to Yellowstone one day though...I hope I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |

Sometimes people think its safe to swim in, too. You'll burn alive. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35416832 Parboiled maybe, but not burnt. Should turn out a nice bright pink. The chariots of God are tens of thousands, and thousands of thousands. |

Sulfur volcano is cool and the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone is also impressive. Take your time and soak in as much as you can. I had the good fortune of going there about 7 - 8 times for work. Enjoy. |

OP, the live yellowstone cam is down atm - but if you go infront of the old faithful visitor center, stand infront of it for 1-2 minutes, and check back here at the end of the day [link to uploadshed.com] and find the time you stood in front of it ! |

I'll be in the park today and tomorrow - where should I go? Norris geyser basin is a must see. Smoking Mountain is an area where gasses seep from the side of a mountain. You will notice the yellow rock (yellowstone gets its name from it) which is rhyolite and it forms from volcanic forces. The Grand Teton Mountains to the south are fault block mountains. They are still going up and the valley, Jackson Hole, is going down. You will still see evidence of the 1988 fire everywhere you look. There are areas of burned trees, still standing upright even though they are dead around the park. Eagles like to nest in them. Last Edited by hater site on 05/10/2014 12:33 PM |
